SAVE THE CHILD BY LEADING HIM/HER TO NAVAJEEVAN. SPONSOR A CHILD TO REALISE HIS/HER DREAM 1 Executive Director’s Desk… ‘Let us help children to capitalize on their strengths and build hope’ At the outset, I would like to acknowledge and thank all the supporters and sponsors of the children of Navajeevan Bala Bhavan, Vijayawada for your continuous support and encouragement in all aspects to build up a life career for these deserving children. I am happy to share with you about the excellent and distinctive academic performance shown by our student boys and girls in the year end exams. We are really proud of them and congratulate them for their hard work. Let us still strive hard to build up hope in them as the hope is malleable and that the hopeless can learn to be hopeful. The children need a focused effort from people who care about them and their future. As lovers of children, we need to learn about hope, instill hope, and increase hope in them. Our programmes with the children should be designed progressively by meeting the requirements of conceptualizing their clear goals, producing numerous pathways to attainment, summoning of the mental energy to maintain the goal pursuit, and insurmountable obstacles as challenges to overcome. Building hope for the children is a continuous programme that includes hope-based sessions with students on „Learning about Hope’, ‘Structuring Hope’, ‘Creating Positive and Specific Goals’, ‘Practice Makes Perfect’, and ‘Review and apply for the future‟. As a care taker, one needs to identify areas in children, where a child‟s greatest potential for building strengths exists. Subsequently, these findings initiate a strength-based development process in work and academic settings to become more and more confident and effective. As the children begin another new academic year, let us guide and motivate them to capitalize their strengths and build hope to achieve their goals. AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON CHILD RIGHTS On 20 th February, 2015 Navajeevan Child Safety Net (CSN) and partners of CSN organized an „Awareness programme on Child Rights’ for Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANMs), ASHA workers and SMCs (School Management Committees) from Pamarru, Kruttivennu and Gampalagudem mandals of Krishna District at Panchayat offices of their regional areas. Executive Director’s Desk… ‘Let us help children to capitalize on their strengths and build hope’
At the outset, I would like to acknowledge and thank all the supporters and
sponsors of the children of Navajeevan Bala Bhavan, Vijayawada for your continuous
support and encouragement in all aspects to build up a life career for these deserving
children. I am happy to share with you about the excellent and distinctive academic
performance shown by our student boys and girls in the year end exams. We are really
proud of them and congratulate them for their hard work.
Let us still strive hard to build up hope in them as the hope is malleable
and that the hopeless can learn to be hopeful. The children need a focused
effort from people who care about them and their future. As lovers of children,
we need to learn about hope, instill hope, and increase hope in them.
Our programmes with the children should be designed progressively by
meeting the requirements of conceptualizing their clear goals, producing
numerous pathways to attainment, summoning of the mental energy to
maintain the goal pursuit, and insurmountable obstacles as challenges to
overcome. Building hope for the children is a continuous programme that
includes hope-based sessions with students on „Learning about Hope’,
‘Structuring Hope’, ‘Creating Positive and Specific Goals’, ‘Practice
Makes Perfect’, and ‘Review and apply for the future‟.
As a care taker, one needs to identify areas in children, where a child‟s greatest potential for building
strengths exists. Subsequently, these findings initiate a strength-based development process in work and academic
settings to become more and more confident and effective. As the children begin another new academic year, let
us guide and motivate them to capitalize their strengths and build hope to achieve their goals.

TURNING POINT IN MY LIFE
I am Devara Suresh Nayak from Adilabad Thanda. I ran away from home following
the death of my father as my mother did not care for me. I started my street life since then.
After many years, I became the King of Street. I was caught by the Police at Warangal and
was referred to Vijayawada. Through Child Welfare Committee (CWC), I came to
Navajeevan Bala Bhavan. Here I started thinking of my life. I was motivated to join
Vocational Training. To my interest, I picked up Electricals and Plumbing Trades. On the
success of this course, I am now working as a daily wager at cooling section of Railway
Station, Vijayawada. My dream of working as an Electrician is becoming true as I am
very soon would be joining local Electrical Workers Association.

OUR EXPERIENCE AS VOLUNTEERS
I am Christine Frank and I've come from Germany to Navajeevan Bala Bhavan for my internship to get field
work experience. At present, I am working in shelter and spending my day with the children. Thanks to Navajeevan
through which I came to know many life stories and closely witnessed how a little money can help to make a big
difference to many destinies. All in all I now see the world through different eyes.
I am Georg Schaberger and since September 2014 I have been working at Chiguru, which I
call it as my home. My scheduled programme with the boys and girls to play, help, and teach and to be taught by
those in many ways are my „daily duties‟, which I really enjoy and feel proud of them. Besides traditions,
mannerisms of culture and food habits , the most important value and sense of belongingness to the home is
literally witnessed by me as any child, who comes here irrespective of age or family background is accepted, cared
and loved. This lovely home atmosphere makes me to call it as my privilege to work in Navajeevan Bala Bhavan.
Indeed, I am blessed to be part of it.
