Mardi Magic!

With live blues, jazz, boogie, soul and rock & roll, our celebration of the music of New Orleans – ‘the Home of the Blues’ – was a ‘Mardi Marvel’ … a great addition to the canon of P&O ‘Blues@Sea’ mini-cruises.We enjoyed our artists performing songs from Dr John, Lee Dorsey, Allan Toussaint, Little Richard, Louis Armstrong, Irma Thomas, Fats Domino and many more ‘Crescent City’ favourites. It was wonderful to see so much musical collaboration including the ‘eight-hand-boogie’ from Dale, Justin, Paddy and Dom, Debbie singing ‘It’s Raining’ (for the first time in her life) with Dom and the Ikos and Ed, from the Revs, singing our anthem ‘Sea Cruise’ with a massed band of a bassist and two pianists, two trumpeters, two drummers, two trombonists, two saxophonists and some pretty impressive dancing (not least from the Transformation Station crew!)There are lots more pictures and videos on www.bluescruiseuk.com and on our Blues@Sea Facebook page.If you have any more images/ videos please forward them so we can include them, too.
