Road: well connected to five neighboring states, 20,770 km of state highways and major district roads Rail: Bangalore Metro Rail Project (Nama Metro) is implemented by Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation.Airport: International Airport – Bengaluru (first Green Field Int. Airport) (12.86 million passenger), and Mangalore.Port: one major port –New Mangaore. Major cargo have been handled by Karwar, Belikeri, Malpe and old Mangalore ports in 2010-11. A new port is being planned at Honnavar at a cost of US$99.5 million under PPP model.
From total Installed power generation capacity of 14,269 MW, 6,430 MW was contributed by thermal power. 254.9 MW and 3,985.1 MW was contributed by nuclear and renewable energy power respectively while hydropower contributed 3,599.8 MW.
