Writing Workshop/Word Study:-Personal Narrative Writing: Unfreezing the characters, telling stories step by step-Letters to Veterans-Blends and Digraphs
Math Workshop:-1.OA.7 Understand the meaning of the equal sign, and determine if equations involving addition and subtraction are true or false. 6 = 6, 7 = 8 - 1, 5 + 2 = 2 + 5, 4 + 1 = 5 + 2.-Opener: Balancing Shapes, What is the weight of the sphere? What is the weight of the cube?
-Addition word problems: What strategies are we currently using?-Tenmarks and Moby Max
If you are looking for something to do at home:-Write a 2 sided equation (for example 3+4=5+2 or 4-2=1 or 3+1=2+1+1) and ask them if it is true or false. -Moby Max and Tenmarks: Students got on during class this week. Their username and passwords are on a card in their green folder.-Play ‘Tens Go Fish’ or ‘Turn over 10’: Write the numbers 0-10 on index cards, play Go Fish by trying to make matches of 10. Play Turn over 10 by laying them out like Memory and turning over 2 cards that equal 10.
