Whistle in the WindChildren will delight in this magical musical trail around Griffeen Park where they will sing, dance, and discover beautiful forest objects beneath the trees. Together with musicians Thomas Johnston and Sean McElwain and visual artist Orla Kelly, get ready to go on a foot stomping musical adventure which is sure to have everyone singing along! If you’re lucky, you might even hear Ornaith the owl sing her song as she glides through the trees.

Please note: this event will take place outdoors and is subject to suitable weather conditions. Don’t forget to bring your umbrellas and raincoats! 

Times: 10.30am and 2.00pm Age: Suitable for children ages 2-6 and their adults. Duration: 40 minutes Booking Essential: [email protected]

BIG Gig TENT10.30 Bamboo Jam Music for children and their families. Be part of a

bamboo orchestra at Ruaille Buaille11.30 The Whistleberries Don’t miss your chance to catch The

Whistleberries as they bring their toe-tapping, tale-telling, hip-shaking hooley to the Festival Big Tent at Ruaille Buaille.

12.30 Trad for Folk Cormac Breatnach (whistle), Brian Fleming (drums) & Eamon Sweeney (guitar/lute) – A lively hour of interactive workshop activities and performance with three of Ireland’s best known facilitators and educators. Irish music with a story: where the tunes came from and who listened to them including Granuaile, Queen Elizabeth, Henry VIII and more....

1.30 Graffitti Classics 16 strings, 8 dancing feet and 4 voices with 1 aim: to make classical music wickedly funny and fantastically exhilarating. Graffiti Classics return to RB with their hilarious all-singing, all-dancing musical comedy cabaret show.

2.30 Go Fly your Kite All gather at the Big Gig Tent to see the amazing range of kites, made throughout the week of Ruaille Buaille, have their first flight accompanied by a host of festival musicians. All kites have a music theme!

3.00 The Whistleberries A second chance to catch this group perform their mesmerising melodies on whistles, uilleann pipes, guitar, keyboard, and fiddle, you can look forward to a wonderfully interactive show that will have audiences of all ages hooked!

4.15 Songs and Stories with Nico Brown, Martin Brundsen and Eamon Sweeney A fun half hour of songs and stories to join in with. Unusual instruments, original and familiar tunes and a little gentle chaos from three well-travelled musicians with a lifetime of making music with children and families.

5.00 True Colours CD launch with Lucan Gospel Choir The culmination of a year long youth project between Ruaille Buaille and Lucan Gospel Choir. The students taking part in the CD join members of Lucan Gospel Choir as they perform their recorded work.

5.30 Lucan Gospel Choir bring Ruaille Buaille to a close One of Ireland’s most sought after choirs
