Methodology

• Analyzing percentage of Vietnam population change

• Cities Censusing to see which type of cities are growing and which region is the most urbanized

• Raster Analysis to see the change of urban area in Ho Chi Minh city

• Vietnam is in an incipient stage of urbanization transitioning to an intermediate stage with rapid urbanization (currently 30% urban with 3.4% urban population growth per year)

• Population growth in the past ten years has been fastest in Vietnam’s largest cities of Hanoi and HCMC, their surrounding regions.

• Slum is in the package of urbanization.
