• Mextal first founded in 1937 and re-established in 1994. It evolved to one of the leading Dutch companies in design and development of ICT based monitoring and communication systems for the institutionalized healthcare.

• Mextal has some 20 years of experience on this terrain, at first as main supplier for Philips and later on as independent designer/manufacturer/ distributor/integrator of the brand

• Strength of any system must be that the span from institutionalised groups of clients to the individual client can be assisted in care and cure.

• To improve quality of live and the way care and cure can be provided; - ultimately without borders, or limitation in distance, - at reduced cost, - and more efficient use of staff.

• To be able to maintain at least the same level of quality at affordable cost with the predicted decrease of the future workforce and with a strong increase in care customers in mind. • Any system must be fully tuneable to the request or need of the customer, varying from a simple audio POTS (telephone) solution to full duplex video communication via (A)DSL, whether or not expandable with a number of comfort, security or telemedicine sensing enhancements.

The Viedome system is based on a Windows platform and makes use of many open standards like ESPA, IP, Mpeg4, H.264, RS232, RS485, SIP, MGCP, XML, SQL, X-10, ANT, KNX, EIB and other standards

The Touch PC is simple and stylish design. Simple interface through touch screen.

Through advanced echo cancellation, hands free video calls are possible

The Home unit is wireless and therefore easy to place. Simple interface through touch screen.

By use of the handset private calls are possible.

The TV solution uses the integrated NetTV of the resident. Interface via remote control.

As a result of TV use, less additional technology is brought into the residence.

If participating with own PC via internet hardware cost stay restricted to a minimum.

By use of a secure login code, participation with ones own PC is easy and safe.
