The following procedures show how to connect to the VidyoGateway™.
There are 2 “types” of calls: Incoming and outgoing. The following discusses both options:
Incoming calls Connecting SIP legacy equipment to the VidyoGateway™ should be performed using the following procedure.
On the Vidyo equipment
Login to your account on your VidyoPortal™. Choose a room on the VidyoPortal. Example for this can be ‘Jeff’
On the legacy equipment
Make sure that the legacy equipment supports SIP {ensure SIP is enabled and set to UDP}. Establish a connection to the VidyoGateway™ . This should be accomplished using the
following setup: Signaling protocol: SIP SIP registrar – none Speed (if required – 384). This parameter is NOT needed in SIP, but a few legacy
equipment require that this be set. In order to reach that particular Vidyo Conference, the legacy endpoint should dial the
following /SIP URIs, according to the example above: o For sending Audio only: 1jeff@{your Vidyo Gateway IP or URL} o For sending CIF resolution: 2jeff@{your Vidyo Gateway IP or URL} o For sending SD resolution: 3jeff@{your Vidyo Gateway IP or URL} o For sending HD resolution: 4jeff@{your Vidyo Gateway IP or URL}
Whereas 1,2,3,4 are prefixes to Audio only, CIF, SD and HD respectively.
This address would take the entering participant directly to the existing conference (e.g ‘Jeff’ ). Any conference name can be used, but the following rules must be maintained:
The conference name MUST be defined as in the system. The conference must be active BEFORE any legacy equipment dials in.
