Product Configuration Changes

The following sections describe the changes between Release 2.2.0 and Release 2.2.0 P1.

• Installation Procedure Changes: This installation requires a full install (no upgrade from previousrelease supported).

Headend should not be listed on the "create streamingserver" screen if only the VDSManager is deployed.

Title:

The headend field in the streaming server should notbe displayed if only the VDS manager is deployedand being managed by the UI.

To reproduce this issue:

1 Install a CDNM system (with no CATV nodesinstalled).

2 Create a streaming server from the UI.

With older versions of Adobe Flash and MozillaFirefox, instability may occur

Title:

Certain combinations of older versions of AdobeFlash, Mozilla Firefox on 64-bit Windows systemhave shown intermittent instability when selectingdashboards. Upgrading to the latest versions ofAdobe Flash will resolve the issue.

Description:

On a 64-bit Windows system, using MozillaFirefox14, along with an older version of AdobeFlash 11.3.300.265 (or older), select any dashboard.

95/5 Bandwidth Report Display and Export IssuesTitle:

Within the 95/5 Bandwidth report, note the followingissues:

• The exported file will generate a zero(0) bytefile

• If 5 minute interval display is selected in thedashboard, the time span will display 1 dayinstead of 5 minutes due to the density of thedata

1 Select 95/5 Bandwidth Report

2 Select export and view exported file

3 Select 5 minute display in dashboard, viewdetailed display

Insecure Login Error After Stopping Search Headand Toggling Dashboards

Title:

On systems with multiple search heads configured,when stopping a search head, and then switching toa different dashboard, this could generate an“Insecure Login” error.

Description:

1 Setup multiple search heads

2 Login

3 Open a dashboard, such as network

4 Stop the active search head

5 Toggle back to dashboard landing page andlaunch a different dashboard, such as Qos

Duplicate logs indexed if "Compress Files beforeExport" option is enabled on CDS-IS

Title:

If the option for “Compress Files before export” isselected on Cisco CDS-IS, this could trigger duplicatelogs – both uncompressed and compressed.

Description:

1 OnCDSM, enable option "Compress Files beforeExport" (by default unchecked)

2 Export CDS log via UF embedded on SR/SE

3 Generate a file such as

service_router_10.10.15.172_20120802_120001_00039

4 After the file is compressed

service_router_10.10.15.172_20120802_120001_00039.gz

[result]

Duplicate logs indexed from both uncompressedand compressed file

De-select option setting on CDSMSuggested Workarounds:



Log missing API generates false alarm if theachriving interval value larger than 900s.

Title:

If archive interval set to more than more 2 minutes,a false alarm may be generated, stating that logs aremissing. This needs to be configured properly.

Description:

1 On CDS-IS, configure archiving interval hourly

2 Generate real time CDS logs via distributingvideo streaming

Do not set the archive interval more than 2 minutes.Suggested Workarounds:
