WDR - Wide Dynamic Range
Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology helps to get detailed information from the dark part of
the image without saturation from the bright part. There is no limitation of zone area with the WDR
function and the color image is crisper than when using traditional BLC functions. It combines two
fields which are high shutter speed exposure in bright areas and low shutter speed exposure in
dark areas into one composite image.
BLC - Back Light Compensation
In CCTV applications it is common to have a bright light source behind the subject of interest. A
person at an ATM or entering through an outside door are common examples. Without
compensation, these subjects would normally appear as dark silhouettes. The aim of backlight
compensation technology is to allow the camera to find the best picture conditions and
automatically give the necessary light level compensation, so that users can obtain good
identification of a subject in the foreground when there is a bright light source in the background.
BLC works by enhancing specific zones in the picture which usually contains the subject of
interest. WDR is a more effective alternative to BLC that does not depend on the subject being in
a specific zone.
True Day and Night (TDN)
Day & Night refers to a function which helps the camera adapt to low lighting conditions. In low
light, it switches the camera from color to monochrome automatically, allowing for much greater
light sensitivity.
ICR (Infrared Cut filter Removal) The IR cut filter is on when the camera is operating as a color
camera for precise color reproduction. With ICR, the filter is removed which allows for much
greater light sensitivity in monochrome mode.
DSS - Digital Slow Shutter
Digital Slow Shutter (DSS) allows you to see clear images in extreme low light conditions without
the need for artificial illumination. DSS settings can be adjusted to enhance the low-light
performance of the camera. DSS settings slow the picture frame rate and increase the
camera’s sensitivity in low light conditions. Light sensitivity increases as the number of fields of
integration increase.
IP67, IP66
Cameras with IP67 and IP66 Certification meets the Ingress Protection Standards for dust and
moisture resistance, allowing the camera to be installed in environments subject to wind and
rain. Infinique’s outdoor cameras come with an IP protection rating of IP67 or IP66. The table
below explains the IP Ratings.

Auto Digital Flip
The convenient auto digital flip feature allows for easy monitoring when viewing objects that
pass directly below the camera. As the camera pans in the vertical direction to follow the
object, digital signal processing will automatically flip the image 180° top-to-bottom as the
object passes beneath the camera, so the image remains right-side-up for easier viewing.
CCD - Charged Coupled Device
Charged Coupled Device is a solid state semiconductor imaging device often referred to as an
integrated circuit, chip or "imager" solid state cameras are sometimes referred to as CCD
cameras.
Sensitivity
Sensitivity is a camera's ability to reproduce a given scene with a given amount of light,
expressed in footcandles or lux. The sensitivity of a camera is a measure of its performance in
low light conditions.
Signal to Noise (S/N) Ratio
Electronic noise is present to some extent in all video signals. Noise manifests itself as snow or
graininess over the whole picture on the monitor. The important factor that determines the
tolerance of noise is the amount of noise in the video signal, the signal to noise ratio (S/N).
Infinique’s cameras have a S/N ratio of 48dB and higher providing excellent picture quality.

Automatic White Balance
Accurate color reproduction requires that the camera compensate for the color temperature of
the light source. Automatic white balance is a feature that the camera uses to do color
compensation. For indoor applications incandescent, fluorescent, and quartz lighting all have
different color temperatures. Outdoors there is sunlight, mercury vapor, and low pressure sodium
lighting, all of which have drastically different color temperatures. In many applications the color
temperature can change as lighting conditions change. Privacy Masking
This function allows for areas in the picture to be masked so that they cannot be viewed or
recorded. The size and position of these masks are programmable. This feature is useful in
applications where a camera can see into areas that are not relevant to the security purposes
for the camera and the owner does not want to be subject to privacy invasion claims.
3D-DNR - Digital Noise Reduction
Infinique’s cameras are equipped with 3D Digital Noise Reduction and have effective 3D noise
filtering system which removes picture noise from the recorded video. These cameras give high
quality video in low light conditions and by reducing the noise, they use less digital bandwidth
and storage space compared to cameras without 3D-DNR.
OSD - On Screen Display
Cameras that support Online Screen Display have On Screen Menu setting. Cameras support
remote control OSD via RS-485 resulting in easy, quick, user-friendly setting from the monitoring
and control location.

PoE - Power over Ethernet
Power over Ethernet is a standard that allows you to power the IP cameras via the same network
cable that will carry the video data back to the network. Unlike traditional CCTV cameras, PoE
enabled cameras doesn’t require a power supply at the site. Infinique’s IP Cameras supports
Power over Ethernet (PoE) 802.3af. PoE devices use a power classification in order to identify the
type of power that is needed. As a part of startup process when a PoE connection is made, the
PD can advertise its power class, which is an indication of how much electrical power is required
to operate.
5.0 Megapixels
Infinique’s IP Cameras are capable of generating images at multiple resolutions, from 1.3
megapixels to 5.0 megapixels. Images captured on these high resolution megapixel cameras
look much bigger, wider, and clearer than at lower resolutions. Infinique offers IP cameras with a
variety of resolutions to help create the optimum network environment.
IPv6
Infinique’s IP Cameras support the new Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) that is designed to
succeed Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4). IPv4 is the first publicly used Internet Protocol and has
been in operation since 1981. IPv6 uses a 128-bit address, whereas IPv4 uses only 32 bits.
SD Card Memory
Infinique’s IP Cameras support SD Card Memory Backup. In case of network crashes, these
cameras can backup surveillance images on the SD Memory Card optionally. You will still be
able to check images captured while the network was down.
Dual Power
Cameras with dual voltage options to accept either 24V AC or 12V DC power sources and will
automatically switch to the appropriate mode upon receiving power.
High Resolution
The ability of the camera to resolve fine detail can make the difference in obtaining evidence or
not. Resolution is measured by a chart with converging lines of higher and higher density. The
resolution is the line density where the camera is no longer able to reproduce individual lines. For
this reason, resolution is expressed in terms of TV lines (TVL). The higher this number is, the better
the picture quality.
Optical Zoom
The Optical Zoom feature provides a quick way to automatically zoom into a defined area
where motion is detected. It allows the operator to zoom on a subject swiftly to identify any
possible intrusion in a restricted area. Infinique’s cameras are equipped with both optical and
digital zoom.
Heater Blower
Cameras exposed to extreme heat and cold environments could potentially damage them. To
combat the extreme temperatures, Infinique’s outdoor cameras are equipped with heater and
blowers which automatically activate upon reaching the cut-off temperatures, thus ensuring safe
operating conditions. The blower remains on at all time, keeping cameras cool and fog free.
HC IR LED (High Capacitor)
Infinique’s Super Night Vision cameras have High Capacitor IR LEDs which offer long-range
viewing at night with its intelligent IR compensation providing perfect exposure of subjects.
C/CS Mount
Infinique’s Box Cameras can be fitted with either C or CS mount lenses. Cameras and lenses are
generally CS mount rather than C mount. With CS mount cameras both types of lenses can be
used but the C mount lens requires a 5mm ring to be fitted between the camera and lens to
achieve a focused image. With C mount cameras it is not possible to use CS mount lenses as it
is not physically possible to mount the lens close enough to the CCD to achieve a focused
image.
H.264 CODEC
Infinique’s IP Cameras employ true high-definition video and H.264 codec compression,
streaming up to 30 images per second (ips) at 1920 x 1080) resolution, and 60 ips at (1280 x 720)
resolution, offering efficient bandwidth utilization with the highest-quality video.
H.264/MJPEG Dual CODEC
The Dual Codec streaming feature transmits simultaneously H.264 or MJPEG video, enabling
real-time monitoring, high-quality recording, i-phone/mobile monitoring, E-mail notification and
saving to SD memory. Infinique’s IP Cameras that employ Dual Codec comes with all these
advanced features.

Progressive Scan
Infinique’s IP Cameras that have Progressive Scan CCD capture each frame at its entire
resolution and smoothly reproduce images of moving subjects. Plus, if we compare its 1,280 x
960 jpeg images with conventional VGA (640 x 480) JPEG images, we find that for the same
camera position, the image covers a four-times wider area. This feature allows for better detail
for video of moving objects, such as faces and license plates on automobiles.

HLC - High Light Compensation
High light Compensation suppresses strong light sources such as the headlights of automobiles,
flashlights etc., in dark places and prevents camera from being blinded.
Motion Detection
Motion Detection function enables the camera analyze successive frames of video and can
detect movement in the scene. Units that use MD utilize various types of thresholds that can be
programmed by the user to prevent or reduce false alarms. If the type or level of motion crosses
these thresholds, the unit can automatically react in a way that benefits the system. In cameras
with MD, a visible alert message can appear on the screen. In some models, a contact output
from the camera can be used to switch a picture to a particular monitor, calling the attention of
the operator.
Digital Signal Processing
Infinique Cameras can deliver high quality images utilizing a unique digital processing
technology. The powerful intelligent processing also drives numerous unique DSP features
including Auto Image Stabilization for camera deployment in areas that may be prone to wind
and other sources of vibration. Its advanced processing also has noise filtering. DSP reduces the
digital bandwidth storage requirements compared to conventional cameras.
