What she said hit me! How true! We are half-way through 2012. What can I say? Time flies! It seems like yesterday when we welcomed the New Year 2012. Now, we are standing at the threshold of the month of July and bidding adios to June. No matter how hard we try to stop time or slow it down, we cannot. This brings to mind a passage from the bible: ‘You don’t even know what your life tomorrow will be! You are like a puff of smoke, which appears for a moment and then disappears.’ (James 4, 14) We do not know what life will be tomorrow. We have absolutely no control over yesterday. What do we have? Today! We have the gift of today in our hands. ‘Forget yesterday- it has already forgotten you. Don’t sweat tomorrow- you haven’t even met. Instead, open your eyes and your heart to a truly precious gift- Today.’ (Steve Maraboli) This gift of today comes with no guarantees, no second chances. We just have to live it to the fullest by saying ‘I love you’ to those dearest to us, watching the beauty of a sunset, dancing to our favourite tunes on the radio, laughing till our sides hurt, comforting a friend, holding someone’s hand. Let us open our eyes and hearts to this treasure of today! Don’t be afraid to live fully. “Time goes, you say? Ah, no! Alas, Time stays, we go.” ~ Austin Dobson

“It was a spiritually enlightening experience. Through these mere 3 days and 2 nights, I
have gained a new insight of myself and my bond with God. I was able to understand my role as a catholic and as God's child better. If I were given a chance to go for this camp I would definitely not hesitate to participate. In addition the speakers were fluent and they were able to connect with us, the sister and
team were great and kind, it was a wonderful camp.”

Preaching to the youths
“I felt that this camp has really given me new knowledge about God and how we can show love to others. I learned to be thankful for what we have and that God is always willing to forgive us, no matter how many times we have sinned, because he loves us. I have also realized how important prayer is, as it is our way of communicating with God. I really enjoyed the talks and the activities, as they each had a message. I felt
that everyone in the camp has really bonded as a class and that
everyone cooperated really well with each other. After this camp, I can safely say that I have bonded a lot closer with God and I look forward to other experiences like these.”
