1953 - 2013...Volkswagen commemorates 60 years in Australia
Hello members!
I managed to dodge the chocolate over this Easter, however VW Jon brought a bucket load of mini eggs
to Alfreds so I did get a little “fix”…..Thanks Jon! I hope that you all had a great Easter break. I took
my 1965 Splitscreen Kombi full of family over from the UK, on a road trip down to Yallingup and the sur-
rounding areas. I was hoping to have an aching arm waving at all the VWs……I did not see one water-
cooled Dub over the whole weeks travels – How is that?
In fact my families first day here involved another trip in the old bus as it was the “Scarborough to Mun-
ster Garage Cruise”. How could I miss out on this sold out event. My aunt, Mum and 80 year old grand-
parents had a great day, it was so nice lounging around on the freshly cut grass are surrounded by
Volkswagens and friendly people. The plan came together nicely! A big thanks goes out to Bernie Brix
and co. for inviting us to their place for this great day – There is talk that this will become an annual
event! We’ll put his arm behind his back to make sure it does. We had a good 30 vehicles on the cruise
and we certainly turned heads cruising through Fremantle's main street.
More events are on the horizon too, by the time you read this some of us will be in Myalup for the brew-
ery cruise and some of us would have driven to the “Down south monthly meet” in Busso.
Fairbridge festival is on too, and the “Volksville” area has been kindly offered to all Volkswagen enthusi-
asts to stay in a prime spot in the village. Another big thanks to the Shermans for thinking of us again.
It will be my 4th year on the trot at this awesome weekend.
Day tickets available see the full advertisement in the following
pages.
See you out there or online.

1953 - 2013...Volkswagen commemorates 60 years in Australia
By Patrick Spiteri
A few months ago Rod McSwain,
Karen Fyfe and I went to a cara-
van park and found a 1976 Kombi
Panel Van. The Kombi wasn't in a
bad shape with only small amount
of rust.
We talked to Dean the owner of
the Kombi and he said that he
was using it as a shed storing all
sorts of stuff.
At the next Committee meeting
we talked about the Kombi we
had seen at the caravan park and
suggested it would be an ideal
Kombi for the club. With the Com-
mittee go ahead, Rod and I talked
to Dean and managed to buy the
Kombi Panel Van.
After initially towing
the Kombi to Dave’s
place (thanks Pete and
Sonia), Dave was kind
enough to drop the club bus
over my place.
I set about
cleaning the
inside out and
then I started
to weld some
of the side
panels that
were cut.
I had my mate
Geoff come
over and he
wanted to
help so I gave
him a crash
course on
welding and
he had a great
time. Thanks
for all your
help Geoff.
I began talk-
ing to Dave about taking the bus
to his place to replace to roof.
Dave has been working on the
donor roof, which is a big job do-
ing a change over
as I have done it on my splitty.
In the meantime there was still
some small rust repairs to do on
the bus. I would also like to thank
Aron Slaven for selling me a good
rust free sliding door cheap.
Dave has now come over and
picked up the Club Kombi Panel
Van with the car trailer.
When all the rust is done we will
start to ask for helpers to take
parts off, take home to clean, fix
and paint and some to do panel
work. At that stage we will know
what parts we need and ask for
some donor parts.
I have started an A4 book with
the names of helpers and also the
costs as we go along. I will be
leaving the book in the bus so we
can record everything that gets
done on the bus.
There are too many photos of the
restoration to put into the maga-
zine, though news articles will be
featured as it progresses.
To keep abreast of the bus’s
progress and also the action to
date (lots of photos), logon to our
website and the Forum under the
topic…Club Kombi Panel Van.
Keep a look out for when mem-
bers can help, but for now its
over to you now Dave…
Here is the Club Kombi at the Shannons 2012 Day
of the Volkswagen...names of volunteers were
taken and these will be contacted in the near
future to help out wherever they can. If you like,
you can still add your name to the volunteers
list...just let the Committee know.

Auto One Classic Car
Show 2013 Sunday 28 April
The Auto One Classic Car Show run by the Council of Motoring Clubs (CMC) will be on again this year at Whiteman Park, on Sunday 28 April.
Access is from Lord Street, Beechboro Road North and Marshall Road via Dulwich Road. We expect to have the usual spot and I have asked for room for 30 cars, so let's make this a big one.
The gates will open at 6.30 a.m. on
Sunday
You must have a free ticket to enter. They are now available from the VW Club contact Richard Hines
phone: (08) 9342 8703.
NO Vehicles will be allowed in on Sun-day after 9 am. NO vehicle movements between 9 am and 3.30 pm on Sun-day. Once you are in you will be locked in until 3.30 p.m. This is for public liability insurance reasons and it will be rigidly enforced. If you want to leave early, then park in the public car parks.
Overnight camping is permitted on
Saturday 21st.
Camping is designed for security, not a night out, so please be cool about it. Because of past unruly behaviour the rules will be rigidly enforced. A call out of Whiteman Park security will entail a $150 fee. That will be transferred to the club and we will extract it from the campers.
Once in you must remain in. Otherwise park in the public car park. No noise after 10 pm. No tents erected before 6 pm. Everything packed away by 7.30 am on Sunday. Drive at walking pace only.
Showers will be available in the Village Mall on the west wall of workshop 2. Toilets will be unlocked. $1 BBQs are available. People who wish to camp overnight, keep a look out for further information.
It’s a great day with over 1000 cars on display...so there's plenty to do
and see.
Spread the word and let's make this
a memorable event.

1953 - 2013...Volkswagen commemorates 60 years in Australia
Every month I look forward to the first Wednesday - It is the cruise
there, often 4 or 5 of us travel down from the Hills together, and the
smell of the burgers as I pull in the car park makes me want to park up
quickly and get my food order in before any chat. Then my ears are
eagerly listening for my number to be called out.
After that it is camera out! and amongst that, chatting to people about
their rides and what they are working on in the garage at home.
Then you have the public unaware and just plain lucky that they hap-
pen to be there on the night with all the "Dubs"…..
It is really nice to see these people keen to rekindle memories and
share their stories about a VW past.
A friend of mine out of the scene said he'll "pop" down for a quick bite and look around - But he couldn't
leave as he was so excited looking in vehicles and talking to the owners!
Funny how these cars suck you in.

Secret Secret
Weapon in Weapon in
Election Election
VictoryVictory We have all heard of weapons of
mass destruction. In Iraq they
could not find them. But in
Southern River, long time club
member, Peter Abetz has used his
1982 Kombi as a weapon in his
election campaigns. Judging by
his election results, the Kombi
could almost be classified as an
electoral weapon of mass destruc-
tion!
When Peter ran for the seat of
Southern River in 2008, it was
considered a safe Labor seat,
needing a 10% swing to be won
by Peter, the Liberal candidate.
Armed with little more than en-
thusiasm, energy and his distinc-
tive two tone green 1982 Kombi,
he surprised everyone by pulling
off the “impossible”10% swing, to
win by 686 votes.
“I worked hard at door knocking
and being out and about in the
community, but the Kombi caught
everyone’s attention. It is so dis-
tinctive – it is the only one of this
colour combination that I have
seen in WA. Whenever people
saw the Kombi, they knew it was
me! It was like a mascot! ” says
Peter.
When he first ran for parliament
in 2008 the Kombi got a wash
and a big sign on the roof as his
electioneering vehicle. The re-
sult: He frequently had young
(and not so young!) people call in
at his campaign office and to tell
him how “cool” his Kombi is.
When doorknocking, he found
people were more interested in
telling him their Kombi stories
rather than talk about politics!
Peter purchased the Kombi sec-
ond hand in Geelong in 1984, just
after their fifth child was born.
‘The Passat was a great car, but it
just wasn’t big enough!” says Pe-
ter.
“ I inherited my late father’s 1959
Kombi at the time, but my wife
and kids reckoned that driving to
Adelaide in it was just taking too
long! So we sold the Passat and
bought the 1982 Kombi, to be-
come a two Kombi family!
When he bought the Kombi it had
done just 15,000km.
With the kids grown up, Jenny
thought it might be time to sell
the 1982 Kombi, but the now
adult kids (strongly supported by
Dad!) all reckoned it was part of
the family and deserved to be
kept. After all, the 1959 Kombi
would be lonely without its
younger brother in the garage for
company!
Now, almost 30 years on and one
engine and gearbox overhaul lat-
er, it is still going strong.
The odometer shows 498,000km.
The Kombi still sports its original
factory paintwork. The vinyl seats
are cracking, the plastic fittings
are crumbling, and a few dents
and scrapes show it has had a
busy life. But Peter is determined
to keep breathing life into the old

New Golf is Europe's “Car
of the Year
2013” March 2013: Volkswagen wins
the most coveted European car
award
The Golf 7 is number one with
European automotive journalists
More than 150,000 Golf vehicles
already ordered throughout Eu-
rope
The new Golf is Europe's “Car of
the Year 2013.” The renowned
international “Car of the Year”
Award is deemed one of the most
important barometers in the auto-
motive industry. The winners
were announced in the run-up to
the Geneva Motor Show yester-
day.
Prof. Dr. Martin Winterkorn,
Chairman of the Board of Man-
agement of the Volkswagen AG,
states: “That's a superb result,
and we are very proud of it. This
most significant European award
is the perfect final touch to the
list of prizes we've already won.
Over 29 million customers have
made the Golf into the icon that it
is. The Golf will continue this suc-
cess story.”
The vote for “Car of the Year” is
one of the oldest and most re-
nowned in Europe. The best new
cars have been given prizes annu-
ally since 1964. The panel of
judges, consisting of 58 automo-
tive journalists from 22 countries,
had nominated eight candidates
beforehand that would enter the
final run. They were tested and
compared and evaluated during
the last few months under a
broad range of criteria, such as
fuel efficiency, comfort, safety,
driving properties, functionality,
design and technological pro-
gress. In the 50th round of the
traditional competition, the new
Golf came out on top before its
seven competitors, garnering a
total score of 414 in the final vote
– the one in second place lagged
behind with a score of 212 less.
Two Volkswagen models have re-
ceived the coveted prize before:
the Golf in 1992 and the Polo in
2010.
The most successful car in Europe
has been further perfected in its
seventh generation. The new Golf
scored high not only with its qual-
ity, comfort, low fuel consumption
and emission values as well as its
excellent drive properties but also
in the most vital area of safety.
The best example for it is the
standard Automatic Multi-Collision
Braking System that slows the
vehicle down automatically after a
bad accident so as to reduce the
remaining kinetic energy, thus
avoiding more subsequent colli-
sions. Numerous safety and assist
systems have been added, such
as the standard electronic XDL
differential lock and the preven-
tive passenger protection system.
Together, they offer a maximum
of safety and comfort at an af-
fordable price.
The top result in the “Car of the
Year” competition was preceded
by numerous awards at home and
abroad: “Best cars of 2013,”
“Auto Trophy 2012,” “Auto der
Vernunft (Car of Reason)” and the
British “Top Gear – All the car
you’ll ever need” Award.
The Golf's success story is exem-
plary. Whether as a classic Golf,
Golf Cabriolet or Golf Wagon —
it's available on all five continents
and in more than 120 countries.
With nearly 30 million vehicles
produced, the Golf has set new
standards in the compact class in
the last few decades. New tech-
nologies like ABS, the airbag and
the electronic stabilisation pro-
gramme were integrated and
have decisively shaped automo-
tive construction in the class
named after it.
The exterior and interior of the
Golf are also leading the way:
Like almost no other product, the
Golf distinguishes itself by its
unique product and design lan-

The new Golf is ‘World Car of the Year
2013’ April 2013: Europe’s best-selling
car also a big success globally
Four overall titles in five years:
Volkswagen model again voted
world’s best car
The new Golf just keeps on win-
ning: an international expert jury
named the bestseller from Wolfs-
burg ‘World Car of the Year 2013’.
The globally sought-after prize
was awarded at the New York In-
ternational Auto Show. The ‘World
Car of the Year’ title is a further
milestone in the growing list of
awards for the Golf.
Prof. Dr. Martin Winterkorn,
Chairman of the Board of Man-
agement of Volkswagen Aktieng-
esellschaft, explained: “We at
Volkswagen are all delighted that
the Golf has been named ‘World
Car of the Year’. To win this
award again shows that the Golf
is and remains in a class of its
own all around the world. This car
sets new benchmarks again and
again, not least in terms of effi-
ciency and environmental creden-
tials. Soon, for instance, the Golf
will also be launched as a plug-in
hybrid and as a 100% electric
car.”
For over 30 years, the Golf has
been an established feature of the
motoring scene around the globe.
For the seventh generation of the
bestseller today’s prize represent-
ed its 17th award since being
launched in November 2012. In
giving their reasons for the
award, the jury said: “The Golf is
just the right size –it’s spacious,
practical and comfortable. It has
got a fresh, progressive design, a
new range of engines, plus an im-
pressive list of equipment and
safety systems. If there is a car
for everyone, the Golf is it.”
It was only three weeks ago that
the compact car from Wolfsburg
was crowned European Car of the
Year. Further accolades from
home and abroad, such as ‘The
Best Cars of 2013’, ‘Auto Trophy
2012’ and the ‘Top Gear –All the
car you’ll ever need’ award, round
off the list of successes.
The ‘World Car of the Year’ jury
consists of 66 motoring journal-
ists from 23 countries, who rate
new cars appearing on the world
market not only for the award,
but also in their daily reporting
work for millions of drivers and
car enthusiasts. Volkswagen has
for a long time been a firm fixture
in the ‘World Car of the Year’
awards: the model before the
current Golf for instance, won the
renowned prize back in 2009. In
2012, the cherished international
trophy went to the company’s
smallest car, the up! And 2010
was also dominated by
Volkswagen: the Polo was
crowned overall winner and the
BlueMotion models of the Polo,
Golf and Passat took the title
‘World Green Car of the Year’.
Over the coming months, further
models will be added to the Golf
range globally: the Golf GTI and
Golf GTD, two sportier versions,
are being launched in the spring.
From the middle of April custom-
ers will also be able to order the
new, dynamic and spacious Golf
Wagon. Following this in the sec-
ond half of the year comes the
new Golf TDI BlueMotion, which
sets new standards in terms of
fuel consumption and environ-
mental compatibility: just 3.2 li-
tres per 100 km and CO2 emis-
sions of 85 g/km are impressive
figures in the compact class.
Launch of the 1-litre Car by
Volkswagen XL1 is a Vehicle of the Future that
is being built today
0.9 litre combined fuel consump-
tion was a vision; now it is a real-
ity
The XL1 by Volkswagen is the
most efficient production car in
the world with a fuel consumption
of 0.9 l/100km. Thanks to its plug
-in hybrid system, the two-seater
can also be driven for up to 50
kilometres locally in pure electric
mode, i.e. with zero emissions at

point of use. The XL1 is an auto-
motive hero that follows pure
sports car design principles: low
weight (795 kg), perfect aerody-
namics (Cd 0.189) and a low cen-
tre of gravity (1,153 mm high).
This gives the efficient
Volkswagen the ability to cruise
on the road at a constant speed
of 100 km/h using just 6.2 kW. In
all-electric mode, the XL1 re-
quires less than 0.1 kWh to cover
a driving distance of over one kil-
ometre.
Efficiency and driving fun. High-
tech lightweight construction,
perfect aerodynamics and the
plug-in hybrid system – consisting
of a two-cylinder TDI engine (35
kW), E-motor (20 kW), 7-speed
dual clutch gearbox (DSG) and
lithium-ion battery (capacity: 5.5
kWh) – enable the new
Volkswagen XL1 to emit a mere
21 g/km CO2.
Third evolutionary stage of a vi-
sion Conceptually, the XL1 repre-
sents the third evolutionary stage
of Volkswagen’s 1-litre car strate-
gy. When the new millennium was
ushered in, Prof. Dr. Ferdinand
Piëch, who is today Chairman of
the Supervisory Board of
Volkswagen AG, formulated the
visionary goal of bringing to mar-
ket a production car that was
practical in everyday use with fuel
consumption of one litre per 100
km. In the two-seat XL1, this vi-
sion has become reality. Despite
the very high levels of efficiency
of the XL, developers were able to
design a body layout that offers
greater everyday practicality than
in the two previous prototypes:
While the driver and passenger
sat in a tandem arrangement for
optimal aerodynamics in the L1 –
the 1-litre car presented in 2002
and in 2009 – in the new XL1,
two occupants sit side by side,
slightly staggered but almost like
normal.
Shorter than a Polo, lower than a
Porsche Boxster The XL1 is 3,888
mm long, 1,665 mm wide and
just 1,153 mm tall. These are
pretty extreme measurements if
you go by familiar passenger car
standards. By way of comparison:
The Polo has a similar length
(3,970 mm) and width (1,682 m)
but is significantly taller (1,462
mm). Even a full-blooded sports
car like the latest Porsche Boxster
is still 129 mm taller (1,282 mm).
The presence of the XL1 is corre-
spondingly spectacular – a car of
the future, built in the present
day.
CFRP and aluminium dominate. A
look at the scales shows why
strong carbon fibre reinforced pol-
ymer (CFPR) is the ideal material
for the body of the XL1. The
Volkswagen weighs just 795 kg.
Of this figure, 227 kg represents
the entire drive unit, 153 kg the
running gear, 80 kg the equip-
ment (including the two bucket
seats) and 105 kg the electrical
system. That leaves 230 kg,
which is precisely the weight of
the body – produced largely of
CFRP – including wing doors,
front windscreen with laminated
glass technology and the ultra-
safe monocoque. A total of 21.3%
of the new XL1, or 169 kg, con-
sists of CFRP. In addition,
Volkswagen uses lightweight met-
als for 22.5% of all parts (179
kg). Only 23.2% (184 kg) of the
new XL1 is constructed from steel
and iron.
Thanks to CFRP, the XL1 is not
only light in weight but very safe
as well. This is due in part to the
high-strength and yet lightweight
CFRP monocoque. In an emergen-
cy, it provides driver and passen-
ger with the necessary survival

space. In addition, the aluminium
structures of the front and rear
sections absorb the majority of
the impact energy. These princi-
ples were likewise implemented
in the design of the CFRP doors,
where an aluminium absorbing
beam is responsible for the ab-
sorption of the energy; moreover,
a stiff CFRP door frame minimises
the intrusions into the CFRP safe-
ty cell.
XL1 embodies what is feasible
today. The new XL1 is currently
the most fuel efficient and eco-
friendly automobile in the world.
The only reason that this vehicle
could be built is because the lim-
its of what is feasible both in
terms of the technologies utilised
and the manufacturing method
were redefined. Consider XL1
technologies: Volkswagen is im-
plementing the most innovative
systems and materials that offer
the highest efficiency possible
today. Consider XL1 manufactur-
ing: In Northern Germany, Eu-
rope’s largest carmaker has set
up a completely new handcrafting
-like production for the the XL1.
There are no current plans to
launch the XL1 in the Australian
market.
Volkswagen Commercial
Vehicles Presents the e-Co-Motion
Concept
Vehicle World Premiere in Geneva: Electrically powered city delivery
van could transport goods with
zero emissions in the future
The global trend towards increas-
ingly larger cities with 10, 15 or
20 million residents is associated
with growing demands for
transport solutions – more and
more products and goods will
need to be delivered to cities and
transported away from them. At
the same time, legal authorities
are demanding significant reduc-
tions in greenhouse gases and
emissions as well as compliance
with more stringent CO2 limits.
Moreover, many large cities are
implementing vehicle access re-
strictions to avoid smog and fine
particulate pollution. The e-Co-
Motion concept vehicle, an elec-
trically powered city delivery van
from Volkswagen Commercial Ve-
hicles, now offers a potential so-
lution.
Such a city delivery van, accord-
ing to Dr. Eckhard Scholz,
Spokesperson of the Board of
Management of Volkswagen Com-
mercial Vehicles who gave a
presentation this evening, should
be designed to exclusively utilise
electric drive systems, so that
users can realise the many bene-
fits of its vehicle properties. In
the specification for such a pro-
ject, top priority should be given
to a vehicle that is highly ma-
noeuvrable with a small footprint
and offers very good all-round
visibility with a high seat position.

In addition, very good seat ergo-
nomics with easy entry and walk-
through are desirable. Loading
should be made easy by a low
cargo floor height, and the vehi-
cle should also offer a large cargo
capacity. Ideally, the overall con-
cept should be implemented as a
uniform platform that could serve
as a basis for as many derivatives
as possible - for a wide variety of
body concepts and customer so-
lutions.
The electric drive unit is mounted
to the rear axle together with a
single-speed planetary gearbox to
achieve large wheel turning an-
gles at the front axle and thereby
the manoeuvrability that is so im-
portant for city operation. As a
result, its turning circle is 8.95
metres, which is unique in this
vehicle class. The continuous
power output of the compact
drive unit is an energy-saving 50
kW. The drive unit’s maximum
power is 85 kW, while its maxi-
mum torque of 270 Nm enables
good acceleration even in heavily
loaded vehicles. Although it was
designed for city deliveries on city
streets, the electronics of the e-
Co-Motion concept do not limit its
top speed until 120 km/h. This
permits driving on city motorways
and short intercity routes. A three
-stage modular battery concept
for the traction battery optimally
fulfils the different driving range
requirements of customers. A
battery with a capacity of 20 kWh
could be installed for driving
ranges of around 100 km, while a
battery with 30 kWh would ena-
ble a 150 km driving range. Final-
ly, a battery with 40 kWh storage
capacity is planned for the top
driving range of 200 km. The bat-
tery box was well designed; its
crossmembers and rib structure
let it serve a secondary purpose
as a loadbearing body element
that also helps to reduce vehicle
weight.
A key word here is workspace,
because the functional orientation
of the vehicle concept is also re-
flected in the cleanly laid out con-
trol centre of the e-Co-Motion.
Reduced to just the essentials,
this has resulted in a commercial
vehicle in the best sense of the
word. It focuses on the everyday
needs of a transporter: step in,
buckle up and drive off – without
having to read an operator’s
manual first. There are practical
storage options for tools, docu-
ments and freight goods, but
without interfering elements. For
example, instead of a selector
lever, a rotary gear selector
switch is installed, and there is no
conventional handbrake lever. In
turn, this simplifies walking
through via the passenger’s side
door, which is also made easier
by the conveniently folding seat
on the passenger’s side. While
sitting in a pleasantly elevated
seat position with good all-round
visibility, the driver’s gaze only
stops as it scans the cockpit, such
as in viewing the control panel for
climate control and infotainment,
which controls nearly all vehicle
functions from a central point and
displays the necessary infor-
mation on an eight inch colour
monitor. Also ingenious is the
movable, modular centre console
with computer, storage compart-
ment, drink holders and 12 V and
230 V accessory outlets.
These are just a few examples of
innovations by Volkswagen Com-
mercial Vehicles, which show how
the e-Co-Motion concept vehicle
being presented at this year’s Ge-
neva International Motor Show
could be the ideal zero-emissions
city delivery van of the future.

1953 - 2013...Volkswagen commemorates 60 years in Australia
Well this article is a bit late in it is the end of April...close to 5 months since the 2012 Shannons Day of the Volkswagen...but we are here at last.
At the Committee Meeting following the DofVW it was decided that the Committee would provide a trophy to the person they saw as most deserving. This will now continue on as DofVW tradi-tion.
The meeting was a few days after the event and the dust had settled. The Committee had time to reflect on the day and after some discus-sion come up with a winner of the inaugural Committee’s Choice Award.
The award went to Blair Whittle. This 15 year old has been working on his Beetle for sometime now. He has done most of the work him-self including the welding and making panels, the me-chanics etc.
He and his family went to a lot of trouble to transport the vehicle to the show from Bunbury and even had the courtesy to call us the day before to say that they would be rushing to make the lock in time.
Here are some words from Blair...
Okay well here is some
background history…
This was a father son pro-
ject that got way out of
hand. We bought the car off
of a local retired
Volkswagen mechanic when
I was 14, it was a rusted
bare shell that someone had
left in a shed for a few years
without any paint on the
body.
The original plan was to
make it a "“rat” (just get it
licensed as is and drive), but
as we all know its not that
simple with a Volkswagen!
Before you know it we had
the body off the chassis and
were undertaking a full body
off restoration. Dad bought
a welder and I learnt how to
replace rust, drivers floor
pan, drivers heater channel,
rear bumper bracket and H
apron were replaced.
Once the metal work was
finished we had the Beetle
media blasted at Stripped
Bare, a Perth based blasting
company who did an excel-
lent job at removing paint
and rust from all the panels.
After this we started work on
the chassis. We had the
chassis blasted and coated it
with por 15. a 4 inch nar-
rowed beam, BAD series
disc brakes and dropped
spindles from Airkewld were
installed up front, while long
axles from a type 3 were
installed at the rear. the car
currently runs a 60's trans-
axle and a 40hp.
Next step was choosing
wheels, we chose 17x7"
Brm's from Vollks from over
east. A vintage speed short
shifter has been installed.
The car is currently not
complete, we still have the
interior to finish, but all me-
chanical, electrical and cos-
metics are complete.
Currently I’m 16 and we are
on track for the deadline
which is 30 March this year,
which is the date of getting
my license. So far this car
has been a lot of fun and
something to keep me and
my dad busy. We would like
to thank everyone who has
helped us especially every-
one from the internet fo-
rums.
See you on the street!
