    Considerations When Using the Remote CLI Virtual Appliance

    Whenyoubackupthehostconfiguration,youcanrunthevicfg-cfgbackup

    commandfromaRemoteCLIvirtualappliancethatisrunningonthetargethost(the

    hostyouarebackinguporrestoring),oronaremotehost.However,torestorea

    configurationonthetargethost,youmustruntheRemoteCLIvirtualappliancefrom

    aremotehost.

    Whenyourestoretheconfiguration,thetargethostmustbeinmaintenancemode,

    whichmeansallvirtualmachines(includingtheRemoteCLIvirtualappliance)must

    bepoweredoff.
