Warner Bros. Entertainment is an American producer of film and television entertainment and was founded in 1905. Warner Bros. has several subsidiary companies, including Warner Bros. Studios, Warner Bros. Pictures, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Warner Bros. Television, Warner Bros. Animation, Warner Home Video, New Line Cinema, TheWB.com, and DC Comics, Warner owns half of The CW Television Network.

Similarities and Difference

•Most of the films Warner.Bros create are sequels, for example: Harry Potter, The Dark Knight etc. •Lots of their films are written based on other media, like books or comics, the film is then produced to this story line and makes millions, because it already has an audience.•Their films usually tend to be bigger budget movies. •Have a wide variety of audiences. •They produce a wide range of genre films I.e. Action, comedy, romantic comedy and sci-fi. •Use other types of media products like, clothing, children's toys etc. to 1. Advertise their films and 2. To make money and profits through other media, rather than just the film.

•The Hangover is a 2009 American comedy film directed by Todd Phillips. It had a budget of $35 million, but made a worldwide gross of over $467 million. The film won an award for the best motion picture-Musical or comedy.

•The film took 15 days to film in Nevada.

•Used music by famous artists like, Kanye West, Usher and Phil Collins.

•On the first day of release the film made over $16 Million.

Vertigo Films is a British film production and Film distribution company. In 2002, Vertigo films was created by producers Allan Niblo, James Richardson, Nick Love, Rupert Preston and Rob Morgan. The company was formed for the express purpose of distributing and producing two films, The Football Factory and It’s All Gone Pete Tong; its current stated goal is to produce four films and distribute four films per year.

MONSTERS

•Monsters is a 2010 British science fiction film. The film was devised, storyboarded anddirected by Gareth Edwards, who also worked as the visual effects artist. He also edited the movie by himself on a home computer.• It had a budget of under $500,000, but made a worldwide gross over $3,486,280.•The film was shot entirely on location: any settings featured in the film were real locations often used without permission asked in advance, and the extras were just people who happened to be there at the time. It was shot in Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica and Texas in the US, for over three weeks.•Electronic musician Jon Hopkins composed and performed the score of the film.
