Version 1 January 2010This short presentation will briefly explain how to gain access to Miller Librarys subscription databases, including the Building Code of Australia and the Australian Standards which are all available online from Miller Library, home, work or where ever you access the internet.1
Where do I start?Enter the library web site address in your internet browser:http://www.swsi.tafensw.edu.au/students/library/library_overview.aspxSelect Databases
2Once you have typed in the librarys web address, it will open to the home page for the library. At this screen you can connect to a variety of library services. Please watch the other presentations to receive more information. For this presentation Databases should be chosen.
Now what?To access the databases, type in the following logins:User ID: swsi2010Password: find
3Please take special note of the User ID and Password necessary to access the databases.
Now you get to decide!
You can now access many databases, for example, ANZ Reference Centre or Health and Wellness Resource Centre
4For your studies the ANZ Reference Centre is useful for current awareness and some research commentary. While Health and Wellness Resource Centre is a good tool for information about childhood illness, immunisation and nutrition.What if Im confused?Dont worry if you get lost:You can read the How to use the databases guide online ORBook yourself in at the library for a database help workshop

Miller TAFE Library is open during term times:Monday Thursday 8.30am 8pm andFridays 8.30am-5pm
