                        About us

Verosol has been founded in 1965 by shipbuilder Cornelis Verolme. He is the inventor of solar shading curtains. Through a unique metallising process, whereby a thin layer of aluminium is applied on a Verosol fabric, sunlight and heat are reflected, while the view through of the fabric is retained.

Currently the Verosol Group consists of six subsidiary companies with a total of more than 300 employees, these being Verosol Australia, Verosol Iberica, Verosol Mexico, Verosol Asia, Verosol Nederland and Verosol Fabrics. All operate under the brand name Verosol and provide the design, production and sale of premium, functional interior solar shading.

Verosol is the ultimate specialist in customised solutions where light control and climate control are essential. The Verosol products distinguish themselves through the combination of contemporary design and the high reflection and transmission values of the unique metallised Verosol fabric. The Verosol products (pleated blinds, roller blinds, panels, venetian blinds and curtains) are suitable for almost any conceivable window construction.

Verosol produces products of high quality in the field of interior solar shading. Not only the quality of the products is of importance but also the quality of the entire production process. Hereby is sustainability a key word.

Quality of the production process

The production process of Verosol is of a high quality and sustainable. This is supported by the certificate ISO 9001 which has been given to Verosol. This standard places certain requirements on the quality system of an organisation and the way in which the organisation deals with the quality policy.

Quality of the end product

Verosol gives a three year guarantee on its assembled end products. Since 1994, Verosol has had the Öko-Tex Standard 100 certificate. This certificate supplies the proof that the solar shading fabrics of Verosol do not contain any substances which are a risk to human health. The fabrics of Verosol are furthermore free of poisonous chemicals.

Quality for the end user

Verosol would like to contribute to the improvement of the quality of the living and/or working environment. The products of Verosol offer a complete solution: the reflection of heat, the reflection of (too much) sunlight and the fact that the viewto the outside is being maintained. The quality of our living environment should be good and remain good. Calculations show that the use of Verosol products lead to a substantial saving in the costs of air-conditioning in particular. The result is: lessemissions of harmful CO2 and therefore a cleaner living environment.

In the opinion of Verosol sustainability is an energy efficient product which has been produced in an environment-friendly, safe and socially responsible manner and which can be recycled in a safe manner at the end of its life cycle. Verosol continuously invests in a clean and energy efficient production process, which burdens the environment as little as possible. The global production of Verosol is furthermore always in complete compliance with the locally applicable environmental standards and regulations.

Verosol has made sustainability a part of the standard management for over 40 years. Verosol sees the aim for sustainability as a continuous process. This is the reason why a long term approach has been chosen which incorporates clear short term goals.

For the next two years Verosol has chosen three key items with regard to its policy:

Product Life Cycle AnalysisA method in which the actual energy balance of Verosol products is established. When this is a positive balance (and the product saves more energy than the necessary energy for the production and recycling of the product) we can state that the product is sustainable and often contributes to the reduction of CO2 emissions.

Recyclable Another aspect that has been researched thoroughly is the degree to which Verosol products are recyclable at the end of their life cycle. For Verosol the key criteria is the degree to which products can be reused or can be used to generate energy.Safety and Corporate Social ResponsibilityThese are matters which are seen as entirely natural within the Verosol Group. For all existing and new developments these matters should be guaranteed

Besides, SilverScreen adds a contemporary style to architectural design on the interior as well as on the exterior of the building; functional meets decorative.SilverScreen is produced environmentally friendly, it has the Öko-Tex Standard 100 certificate and is formaldehyde free. This means that SilverScreen does not contain any harm causing elements for our health. Besides, during the summer SilverScreen keeps the warmth outside, due to the reflecting metal layer and it will reduce the loss of warmth during the winter.                      Enviroscreen       Sustainable solar control: the greener blind 

EnviroScreen is a highly reflective, robust, transparent, metallised fabric, which provides visual and thermal comfort. It is woven in a screen-like construction, but with a clear textile appearance, suitable for roller blinds and panel tracks. Thanks to the high reflectivity, EnviroScreen lowers heating- and cooling costs substantially. This results in a reduction of CO2 emissions, and therefore minimises the greenhouse effect.

EnviroScreen is available in 2 transparencies, 2% and 10% openness factor (OF), and is offered in 6 attractive colours. Even with the 2% OF, EnviroScreen allows a very good view through, suitable for all fenestrations and all elevations, worldwide. EnviroScreen is offered in 6 attractive colours.

Metallised fabrics

Metallised fabrics of Verosol are made of Trevira CS or 100% Polyester and are vacuum bonded with aluminium on the reverse side. These fabrics find their application in several solar shading products like pleated blinds, roller blinds, vertical blind and panel tracks.The fabrics are available in a wide range of carefully chosen transparencies and colours.

Fenestrations and window sizes are getting larger and larger, and therefore the size of the majority of interio roller blind system are becoming heavier and more cumbersome. The new Verosol QS system is totally different: with this system for interio solar control, you can offer your clients a slim, modern and exclusive design. It will be an eye catcher from a design point of view for the office or residential room.The QS system has several unique features. Lowering and raising the blind is very smooth, easy and silent due to the low noise chain control system and the perfectly balanced lift assisting springs. As well as high user comfort this Verosol branded system has a unique and exclusive soft touch child safety device.

The QS system is available in two types: QS6 and QS8, both have their own models and options, but all have the unique QS features.

Pleated blind

This is the most popular product in this range. Operating this Verosol pleated blind is very simple and it is virtually maintenance free. Slim but strong aluminium profiles, a patented operating system and high quality fabrics combine to ensure a robust and durable product.

Pleated blinds are ideal for use in offices, especially where mounting space is restricted and when side channels are used these blinds can almost be fully integrated within the window frame.Within the pleated blind range there are different fabric transparency grades available to meet individual requirements. Verosol commercial fabrics are flame retardant to international standards and are produced in accordance with the Öko-Tex 100 Standard ensuring production is not harmful to the environment.
