On Friday the 3rd of June Blundstone Arena will host the first-ever night AFL clash featuring the North Melbourne Kangaroos and the Richmond Tigers. A crowd of 18,500 is anticipated for the match.

This will be an historic and exciting event and we want to ensure that the community and the patrons attending the match are as well-informed as possible.

Blundstone Arena has a comprehensive communications plan in place to ensure all stakeholders are included and well informed. We hope the following event information and traffic management plan will assist in ensuring your overall experience is a pleasant and enjoyable one.

• This event will coincide with afternoon peak hour traffic in Hobart – SEE INCLUDED MAP and refer to our Blundstone Arena Social Media accounts for video content and virtual traffic information

• Motorists should expect some congestion from 5.00pm onwards• Those attending are encouraged to plan time in their travel to avoid peak periods of

congestion• The RACT Park and Ride Royal Coach free bus service will be operating. There will

be more bus services than ever available to assist people getting to and from the game. See attached information. SEE INCLUDED SCHEDULE

• People working in the city are encouraged to leave work early and avoid Rosny Hill Road where possible

• Tasmania Police will be in place pre-match rolling out a comprehensive traffic management plan

Tips for those who have no option but to drive to the game

• Carpool wherever possible• Avoid Rosny Hill Road as this is prone to delays• Use the South Arm Highway/Clarence Street route to avoid congestion• Be patient, obey all road signs and directions at managed traffic points
