VIDEO WALLSThe video wall has become a must-have in studios and on exhibition floors all over the world. The visual power of multi-screen setups, the dynamic display of informa-tion as opposed to static signage, is one of the key features of Ventuz due to its real-time nature.

Creating video content for large scale resolutions is expensive, inflexible, time con-suming, and at some point, impossible. Ventuz can run dynamic, interactive, and flexible content at any resolution without added cost. Film clips or live video, im-ages, data streams - all assets can, of course, be integrated into the content and exchanged at any time. That way a presentation never needs to be replaced in full, but can be swiftly adjusted according to the needs at hand.

The new software generation of Ventuz offers an easy to use and highly stable setup assistant for multiscreen installations. It helps the user to spread Ventuz con-tent not only over multiple screens, but also over a machine cluster, providing for almost limitless scalability of video wall applications. Naturally, all outputs can be fully genlocked and frame-synced.

BROADCAST GRAPHICSWhen it comes to interacting with content, Ventuz is a game-changer. Never before has the creation of touch applications been so easy. Through simple drag-and-drop actions, a previously static presentation can be altered to react to as many touchpoints as the hardware allows - no programming skills required.

The open structure of Ventuz lets the application communicate with databases and electronic payment systems and thus allows for fully integrated info-terminal and kiosk installations. Ventuz operates with the standard touch protocols; therefore virtually every interaction device can be used.

With the rapid advancement of technology, the visual expectations of television audiences are increasing at a breakneck speed. Networks worldwide are under im-mense pressure to find ways to creatively and flexibly meet these growing demands. Flawless design, large resolutions, flowing animations, combined with the complex data delivery of a sophisticated broadcast environment - this is what Ventuz offers.

Ventuz Director is a playout control application dedicated to driving Ventuz content in any kind of audiovisual production realm. Ventuz Director requires no system specific knowledge to use as an operator and a minimal learning curve. It allows for the operation of any kind of configuration or show, but also gives the possibility to write bespoke applications that then run within the Director interface.

Director uses familiar concepts and workflows, such as a template/page paradigm, complete with playlist and shotbox, or a timeline based workflow more reminiscent of NLE systems. Both work fluidly with the same content and with each other. Thereby, Director brings real-time data driven 3D graphics into a standard pipeline that operators will be comfortable and familiar with.

Ventuz Designer is the creation and authoring application for Ventuz content. Using a powerful but inherently flexible node based authoring system, it combines the worlds of logic, animation, compositing and design in a real-time 3D environment. Complete freedom of creativity paired with data connectivity, state-logic animation, and instant implementation of interactivity allows for content that is truly unique.

The workflow of Ventuz Designer is based on a node-structure. Through simple drag-and-drop actions, assets such as film clips, images, text and external data can be imported, arranged and animated swiftly and easily, while the final result can be observed at all times. Next to common time-line based animation processes, Ventuz Designer offers a state animation logic, which is the perfect solution for creating animations based on triggers and commands, such as interactive applications.

To create bespoke and high-end applications in Ventuz Designer, no coding skills are required. If, however, special scripts are needed for certain functionalities, it is an easy task to implement them into the Ventuz project using .NET. Similarly, Ven-tuz supports HLSL 3D shaders for effects such as realistic 3D glass, shadowing, and many more. Besides a wide range of presets, custom shaders can be written as well.

Ventuz Runtime is the output software for projects created in Ventuz Director and Designer. It brings with it a highly stable 3D engine for maximum performance and reliability. A variety of output options offers the perfect solution for any given task at hand: be it machine clusters for video wall setups, or VGA over IP for complex network based graphics operations. Additionally, Ventuz Runtime covers all areas of broadcast output requirements, regardless of location, output format or resolution, even 3G and 4k.

Director’s customizable interface allows operators to quickly and easily run through a playlist, preview graphics, make last minute changes to the content and take the graphics to air. The interface can be completely customized to suit any workspace environment and can span across several screens. With lightning fast response times, it is built with the requirements of a live production environment in mind.

Intelligent animation behavior is inherent in the Ventuz architecture. Thus, allowing graphics to transition in, out and through multiple takes without manual intervention becomes a simple task. The Ventuz state logic engine automatically selects the appropriate animation path from any graphic to another. Graphic collision errors are a thing of the past and operator control is significantly simplified.
