Detalles constructivos Construction details
DA fans have forward curved centrifugalimpellers, tablocked on both sides totwo steel rings and to a double disk atthe centre.
The blade is designed to minimize theloss caused by air turbulence and toobtain maximum efficiency withminimum sound level.
All impellers are dynamically balanced.
The housings, in galvanized steel, areformed by two side plates spot-weldedto a central scroll. A cut-off mounted onto the discharge prevents turbulence.
The side plates have an aerodynamicprofile and include some drill holes toallow fixing of the base supports as wellas the motor support. Four positionscan be selected for the base supportand eight for the motor support.
The ball bearings are mounted onrubber inserts to reduce vubrationexcept for the framed versions whichare filled with cast ball bearinghousings.
Operating temperature -30°C to + 85°C.
The “R” series fans are based onstandard “N” fans equipped with rectan-gular side structures built with “L”profiles which reinforce the unit, forminga rigid cube structure. This frame iswelded to the sides of the fan. Anumber of groove-shaped drills on thestrenghthening frame corners allow fora proper fixation.

CARACTERISTICAS TECNICAS
VENTILADORES CENTRÍFUGOS DE DOBLE OÍDO
PREMONTADOS Serie DAP
DESCRIPCION
The DAP Series of belt-drive fan-deckassemblies are available with either afan scroll or separate base frame moun-ted motor configurations. All modelsinclude forward curved centrifugal fanimpellers, with electro-welded doubledisc hubs supported on both sides byhigh quality ball bearing assemblies.
ImpellerAll impellers have been specificallydesigned and matched to maximise air-flow efficiency and minimise gene-rated noise levels. All impellers are balanced both staticallyand dynamically before complete DAPunit assembly.
Fan ScrollThe fan scrolls encasing the centrifugalimpellers are manufactured from highgrade galvanised sheet steel. Thescrolls consist of two pressed side inletparts with an electro-welded rolled shell.
All scrolls have been designed to mini-mise turbulence at the outlet by inclu-ding a specially formed cut-off. Thepressed casing sides also includestrengthening ribs, and mounting holepositions for both motor and supportfeet. These holes enable both the motorand support feet to be mounted in oneof four positions as required.
Ball BearingsAll ball bearings are mounted on rubberinserts to reduce vibration (except forDAP-RC models which are supplied withdie cast bearing housings). The DAP-RC series are manufacturedwith an “L” shape profiled galvanisedsteel support frame. This support frameis welded to the sides of the fan scroll toreinforce the unit forming a rigid cubestructure. In addition the frame includesa number of elongated fixing point holesto facilitate a multitude of installationconfigurations.

V(m3/h) x (Hst+Hd) (mmH2O)h (%)=
3670 x PA (kW)
According to the air flow and pressure, the parameters needed for assembly ofthe motor and belt drive arrangementare defined as follows:
Selection of the motorThe power curves showed in the dia-grams are absorbed powers to the fanshaft in kW. To determine the motorpower required, the absorbed powershould be multiplied by a factor of 1.15.To get kW into HP (CV), the kW figureshould be multiplied by 1.34.Sound levelThe sound level curves are pressurecurves measured at 1 metre.Dynamic pressureThe speed showed in the diagrams aswell as the dynamic pressure refer tothe total surface of the discharge outlet. When the fan is used at free discharge,an additional charge loss equivalent to1 x the dynamic pressure should beadded.PerformanceThe fan performance is determined bythe following formula:
V(m3/h) x (Hst+Hd) (mmH2O)h (%)=
3670 x PA (kW)
