Summary

● Neuronal networks have an anisotropic parameter space

● Few neurons provide a 'stiff' scaffold (high rates)● Faster changes are restricted to 'sloppy' dimensions● Slower changes affect stiff dimensions

This may enable stability and exploration of the network parameter space.
