Eddie Lack stopped 20 shots to shut out the St. Louis Blues Feb. 26/14. He became the first goalie to shut out the Blues in the 2013.14
season. His third career shutout also made him the first Canucks goaltender to collect three shutouts in their first NHL season. He
added to his rookie record with his fourth career shutout, Mar. 19/14 versus Nashville. Lack's four shutouts in 34 games trail League
leader Tuukka Rask by two shutouts (six in 51 games played). FIRST TIME FOR EVERYTHINGZac Dalpe recorded his first career power play goal, which was also his first career road goal Mar. 6/14 at DAL. CLUB 800 Henrik Sedin recorded his 800th career point Oct. 15/13 at PHI. He currently holds the franchise record in points (192-646-838) andbecame the first player to reach 800 points all in a Canucks uniform. Only nine other active players have reached 800 points with oneteam: Daniel Alfredsson (OTT), Jarome Iginla (CGY), Jaromir Jagr (PIT), Teemu Selanne (ANA), Patrik Elias (NJ), Martin St. Louis(TB), Vincent Lecavalier (TB), Patrick Marleau (SJ) and Shane Doan (PHX). All but Iginla, St. Louis and Selanne reached the 800 pointmilestone with the team that drafted them. LEADER OF THE PACK John Tortorella is in his 14th season and first with Vancouver as an NHL Head Coach. He has established a career record of 442-370-37-77. The Boston, MA, native ranks first among U.S.-born coaches in all-time NHL wins. On Jan. 10/14 Tortorella became the 27thHead Coach in League history to reach 900 games. John Tortorella became the 17th Head Coach in Vancouver Canucks history on June 25, 2013. His previous NHL appointments include headcoaching roles with the New York Rangers from 2008 to 2013 and the Tampa Bay Lightning from 2000 to 2008, where he won a Stanley CupChampionship in 2004. Entering the 2013.14 season, Tortorella ranked first among U.S. born coaches in all-time NHL wins with 410 career victories. He was the 30thcoach in NHL history to reach 800 games and 40th all-time to record 300 wins. Entering the season, in 854 career regular season games,Tortorella had produced a .541 win percentage and a record of 410-340-37-67. Internationally, Tortorella served as an Assistant Coach with Team USA, helping guide the team to a silver medal at the 2010 Winter OlympicGames.
