Dear Neighbor:
The Fremont Unified School District is committed tomaintaining quality education in our local Fremontschools. I am writing to update you about the needs andpriorities of Fremont Unified School District.
Since 2010, voters approved local education funding tohelp maintain quality education in local Fremont schools.
Currently, this source of voter-approved funding isscheduled to expire. To address these needs, on March9th the Fremont Unified School District Board ofEducation unanimously placed Measure I on the June
2016 ballot. If renewed, Measure I would extend theexpiring voter approved funding at a $73 per parcel ratefor nine years to:

Retain quality science teachers for 21st
century science education Attract and retain highly qualified
teachers Relieve overcrowding in classrooms
Keep school libraries open
Maintain programs to prepare students
for the workforce Protect student safety and security
