Summary

Amelia Earhart: The Legend of the Lost Aviator by Shelley Tanaka and illustrated by David Craig is the true story of Amelia’s life and adventure. This biographical account begins with a young Amelia visiting the Iowa State Fair in 1908 where she caught sight of her first plane. Tanaka then takes the reader on a beautiful journey through archival photographs, striking illustrations, and interesting text which provide glimpses of Amelia’s college days, her time as a nurse’s aide, her solo transatlantic flight in 1932, and finally, to her last flight and unexplained disappearance.
