Diwali Message from the Board Of Trustees

Jay Jalaram

On behalf of the Board Of Trustees I wish you and your parivar a very Happy Diwali, healthy prosperous and peaceful new year 2077.

This year has both been challenging for all devotees, Trustees and Volunteers of Jalaram Mandir Leicester. We have experienced challenges in ensuring that whilst we were able to open the Mandir during shorter times, we also remain fully COVID 19 compliant.

In the interest and safety of all the Devotees, volunteers and the priests, the Trustees after considerable deliberations and taking into account the Government and Leicester City Council guidelines had to take some hard decisions to close the Mandir during all Festivals celebrations this year.

Whilst safety of the devotees has been paramount interest, we have risen to the challenges faced and have been able to have Sunday Bhajans until the 2nd lockdown and maintained the Sadavrat (free) Tiffin collection service every Sunday which can be pre- booked by Friday each week by messaging the Whatsapp no: 07497 417390.

This year as part of 25 th Anniversary of Jalaram Temple leicester , we are Re tel- Casting on Ashta worldwide Morari Bapus katha 'Satya Prem Karuna' hosted in 2006

during the 10 th Anniversary of the Mandir - On 10th November - 18th November.

We are also Chairing Jalaram Jayanti World Wide and promoting Activities of over 75 Bapa's Temples Wide on various Social Media platforms on 22 nd November 2020.

Due to 2nd Lockdown we have deferred the following projects until tail end of the year.

1 Re - naming the Jalaram Community Centre to Virbai Maa Jalaram Community Centre and depicting Murti's of Virbai Maa cooking and Jalaram Bapa serving the Sadhus.

2 Opening of the Midlands Hindu Organ donor office promoting organ donations amongst the Hindu communities and a community help- line / phone in centre In for those in need of advise - This will be run by young professionals experienced in different fields.

Whilst the the coronavirus has by far been the largest social, health and economic pandemic in our life time, the advent of Technology has managed to keep us all connected.

We continue to pray to Pujya Bapa to give strength to those who have suffered a loss of their loved one's and continue to pray for those who are in hospital and the vulnerable and elderly.
