Goal of the course
Develop a proposal for the better future prosperity of
humanity and nature around the area of Mt Fuji and
beyond.
Aim at target audiences such as the Agency for Cultural Affairs
(Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology),
Japan Tourism Agency (Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport
and Tourism) or local governmental organisations.
Make the best use of knowledge gained throughout the course.
Think outside the box.
Be constructive.
Assessment The credits (2) are awarded upon successful
completion of all the assignments in this
course including:
Pre-task;
Full-attendance of all the classes, fieldwork and
excursions;
Day-to-day blog entries and comments on others’ works;
Post-course reflection essay; and
tasks the instructors assign to the students.

General information
All facilities are on a self-service basis.
The main gate is closed between 23:00-6:00 The
service gate besides the main gate is open
during this time.
Close windows and lock doors when leaving
rooms unattended.
When the entire group goes outside the Center,
the group leader must collect all keys.
A charge is required to compensate for lost keys.

When we leave… Clean up facilities.
Return sheets folded, with the folds oriented in the same direction, in stacks of 20,
and tied with string to facilitate counting. (String is available in the linen room.)
Floor: Clean with electric vacuum cleaner / mop.
Windows: Close in accordance with the instructions.
Curtains: Fasten the curtains with the tiebacks.
Trash: Sort trash and then put it into the trash can in the lounge.
Hangers & Towel racks: Tidy up. Each room has 2 hangers.

Entrance fees for “山中湖温泉紅富士の湯” included. Bus leaves 19:15 from
Sportia Yamanaka and 20:15 from 山中湖温泉紅富士の湯.
Locking up the entrance: 22:00
ANU students will pay breakfast & dinner at the site.
When we leave…
Check out time: 9:30
Clean up your room, and put your futon sheet
outside of your room on the corridor.
Close windows.
Turn off all electronics in your room, e.g., air-
conditioner (if any).
Return your room keys (to TAs).
