Last Game • Nov. 11, 2017, Salt Lake City • WSU 33, Utah 25An incredible night by the Utah defense wasn’t quite enough in a 33-25 loss to No. 19/20 Washington State before the 50th-consecutive sellout crowd in Rice-Eccles Stadium. Faced with short fi elds all day long due to seven turnovers—three coming on Utah’s fi rst four offensive possessions—an injury-battered defense forced WSU to settle for fi eld goals four times. Twenty-three of WSU’s 33 points came off turnovers. Donovan Thompson had a career-high 12 tackles and Corrion Ballard and Kenric Young both grabbed interceptions. Zack Moss rushed for two touchdowns and De-mari Simpkins had a career-high 99 receiving yards to lead the offense.
