Using ExamView with CPS

To allow ExamView to run seamlessly with CPS, your ExamView test must be brought into CPS.

Click on the “Prepare’ tab, then, on “Classes & Students”.

Click on the folder inwhich you want to placethe ExamView test, andthen, on “Add File(s)”.

When the Browser window appears, locate the folder where the test was stored and highlight the test.

Click “Open”.

Your test will appear under the folder name, and the questions will be displayed on the right side.

You cannot edit the test, but certain options are available.

Click on “Settings”,

and then select “ExamView Settings”

In these boxes, you can filter out certain types of questions,

Restore the default settings.

Zoom in or out on questions or images

Or change the standards to a different state.

Click “OK” to finish.

To engage the ExamViewtest, select the “Engage” Tab,

Then, “Lessons & Assignments”

Open the folder containing the test,

Last, click in the empty box beside the test to select it.

Next, click the “EngageOptions” bar,

Then, click on the “Engage Teach” box

Click the “Questions” tab and the test name appears below.

Click on the test name and the questions appear.

Click on any question to begin.

Ask or have the students read the question on the screen,and have the students respond… as they respond the pad number boxes will turn a darker blue.

Click “End” when all students have responded.

The correctresponse and distribution is now displayed.

Click on “Close” to continue

Special option keys:

Zoom Inand Out

Recalculate the questionwith new variables

Go tothe nextquestion

Note: the “Recalculate variables” feature is Unique to CPS !

To move to the next question, click the green advance arrow Then, click “Start”.If you are done, click on the red circle.

The % correct on the previous questionand the % cumulative correct for all of the questions askedso far are displayed.

When finished with the questions, click “Close” and this window will appear.

Click “Yes” to save the data and close CPS.
