Pages of tasks, distributed to each student in class, intended to be written on, and usually taken in by the teacher to be checked.

• made in sets.• each card offers a different fairly short task. •They are not written on.•Answers are placed on a separate piece of paper.•They are permanent and reusable.•They take more effort and time to produce.

Guidelines for teacher-made materials

Worksheets and workcards should: Be neat. Begin with short and clear instructions. Be clear and attractive to look at. Be clearly do-able by learners. (optionally) include a self-check facility.

Worksheets and workcards are occasional and supplementary material.

They provide what learners need in a specific point.

Variety. Relevant and personalized. Answers to learners´ needs in a way no

other materials can.
