serviceSchool libraries serve as centers for a wide variety of educational media.
School librarians are sometimes called media specialists. They select materials for the library and help students and teachers effectively use its resources.
In high school, students work on more research and independent study projects than in lower grades. These skills are important for students who plan to enter college after graduation. High school librarians make sure that students know how to find materials using a wide range of resources, including various Internet sources.
