Using Shared Calendars at DCS

All too often we set up meetings and launch projects that end up conflicting with other important events at DCS. Now we have an easy way find out what each region, youth development center and office at DCS is doing.

Accessing calendars is also a great way to stay informed and engaged with the agency.

Shared Calendars

Follow these quick steps

1. Open Outlook2. Click on “Calendar” in the lower left column

3. Click on “Open Calendar” in the top center bar

4. Click on “Open Shared Calendar” in the drop-down menu

5. Click on “Name” in the dialog box that appears in the center of the screen

6. Search for the calendar name. (We are using a naming convention of EI_DCS_(Location)_Calendar. For instance, EI_DCS_CentralOffice_Calendar. Or EI_DCS_Shelby_Calendar.)

7. Click “OK.”

8. Calendar will appear in your list in the left column from now on.
