You can customize the start-up programs in order to make your system start faster.

Click Run on the Start menu, and type msconfig in the text box. And click OK to open the System Configuration Utility. Click the Startup tab, and you'll see a list of all your start-up programs (or known as auto loading programs), each with a check box. Uncheck an item, and it will no longer load at startup.
