1.0 Putting the machine to work

The machine has undergone tests and a test run at the factory. The flow adjustments of the machine's hydraulic system can, however, be easily changed. Therefore be specially careful always when using a machine after it has been unattended. The speed of the wrapping arm, for example, may be too high. The danger zone is always 5 m. As the film cutter contains a sharp knife, it must always be closed. e.g: if automatic operation is interrupted during wrapping and the machine is left unattended, the film cutter must be closed.

1.1 Hydraulics A 1/2" hose is connected to the tractor's pressure coupling. A 3/4" hose is connected to the tractor's return coupling. To prevent unnecessary heating of the oil and machine failure, the oil must have an absolutely free return flow, not through valves. A high back-pressure on the return side disturbs, for example, the operation of lock valves. The bale wrapper requires an oil flow of about 15–25 l/min [4 - 6.6 US gal/min]. Oil pressure at least 170 bar [2420 p.s.i.].

1.2 Electronics NOTE: CONNECT ONLY TO A 12 V NEGATIVE EARTH SYSTEM. The brown lead is connected to the tractor's + terminal and the blue one to the frame. The supply voltage is 12 V. The machine does not work with a voltage below 10 V. Use with a voltage above 16 V is forbidden. The voltage must be taken directly from the battery. The cable supplied with the machine can be installed to the tractor as a fixed connection. The system must contain a 10 A fuse.

1.3 Control box This device is placed in the cab and connected with the cable supplied. Make sure that the cable will not be twisted or crushed.

9

Page 10: Users Manual Agronic 2002mod

2.0 Control box (program ver. 1.0)

2.1 General • The control box receives its supply voltage via a cable, so normally it does not need a battery.

In remote use it is operated by a 9 V battery. When the cable is not connected, the display does not operate either. The battery can be inserted by opening the two screws on the back. After removing the cover the battery can be seen. Use only high quality alkaline batteries. Remove the battery after finishing the season's work.

• The control box is watertight, but to ensure as long a lifetime as possible keep it always in a dry place indoors.

• Avoid dropping or causing mechanical damage to the control box.

2.2 Keypad • Up key increases the setting for wrapping revolutions. The reading is increased by one for

each time it is depressed. The reading is stored automatically in the memory. The revolutions can be set between 9–60. In manual mode, the Up key is used to select desired function.

• Down key decreases the revolutions. Numbers below 9 can be set by pressing the key for 3 secs. In manual mode, the Down key is used to select desired function.

• Reset key can be used to reset the revolutions when necessary. By pressing the Reset and Total keys at the same time the bale counter is reset.

• Total key displays the number of bales. • Start key: pressing this twice starts automatic operation. A prolonged press drops the bale. • Stop key stops the operation immediately. • Left arrow key opens bale chamber • Right arrow key close bale chamber • Man+ key stops automatic operation and runs the current operation in the forward, up or open

directions. • Man– key stops the operation and runs the current operation in the backward, down or closed

directions. The wrapping arm cannot rotate counter-clockwise (backwards), however. • Up and Down keys: the closing time of the film cutter is adjusted by pressing these keys at

the same time for about 3 sec. You will then see F5 on the left side of the display and the operating time in steps of 0.5 sec. on the right. The setting can be changed by pressing the Up or Down key. The setting is stored in the memory by pressing the Total key.

2.3 Automatic wrapping

1. The text redy must be shown on the display. 2. When bale is ready, push net button on balers controlbox. 3. The automatic loading and wrapping operation starts by pressing the Start key twice.

The bale chamber open, bale goes to loading device. 4. When the bale activates the loading sensor, the machine loads the bale automatically. 5. The table goes to the mid-position. 6. Bale chamber close, the loading device goes to mid position. 7. Wrapping is started at a slow speed. 8. After one wrapping pulse and 2 sec. the film cutter opens for 0.5 sec. 9. The wrapping arm accelerates to full speed. 10. On the last but one revolution the wrapping arm slows down and the film cutter opens. 11. The film cutter is closed. The machine waits for a new command. 12. A prolonged press of the Start key will drop the bale, 13. After finished working cycle, the machine is always completely ready for a new bale.

2.4 Selecting the automatic operation mode Automatic operation can also be started at a point other than the starting point of the working cycle, if necessary e.g. after a power failure that has occurred during automatic operation. The mode is selected by pressing Man+ and Man– keys at the same time until the display starts to blink. Using the Man+ or Man– key, the desired mode of operation is located on the display. The selection is made by pressing the Start key twice. The redy mode can be selected at any time by pressing the Stop key for about 5 sec. 2.6 Manual control during automatic operation Automatic operation can be interrupted using the Man+ and Man– keys. If automatic operation is interrupted with the Man+ or Man– key, they can be used to control the current operation immediately as defined above. To continue automatic operation, press the Start key twice.

2.7 Manual control after interrupted automatic operation Automatic operation stops if the conditions set in the machine's operating modes are not fulfilled, or they change during the operation. The machine then stops and is run to the Stop mode. An error code appears on the display. When pressing the Man+ or Man– key, the operation is automatically set to control the function from whose sensor the error condition has emerged. Exception "Film", film broken; this can be corrected by pressing the Start key twice.

3.0 Adjustments of the hydraulics

The machine's hydraulic system is pressurised. Check hoses and couplings for damage. Replace any damaged parts immediately. When adjusting the machine's valves, keep away from the movement range of the wrapping arm. Crushing hazard! You must never go between the drawbar and the lift fork. Turn the valves carefully because, for example, the speed of the wrapping arm changes rapidly. Make yourself thoroughly familiar with anything you will be doing. Basic adjustments to the machine have been made at the factory. Before altering and checking any adjustments the hydraulic oil must have reached its normal operating temperature. The machine contains functions controlled by a pressure switch and it responds faster when the oil is cool. If, for example, the little arms would not open, or the lift fork or table would not lower automatically, it is not advisable to try to change any adjustments immediately. If the tractor's hydraulics supply decreases and the machine has been adjusted to use oil more than this, film overlap will not be as desired. On the other hand, the tractor's oil supply may exceed the amount adjusted because the excess oil returns directly to the tractor. If the tractor is fitted with a separate flow control valve, it is advisable to adjust it as close the actual oil requirement as possible.

13

Page 14: Users Manual Agronic 2002mod

3.1 Adjusting film overlap, speed of wrapping and other operations • Valve no. 1 regulates the total oil flow to the machine. When turning the valve clockwise, the

amount of oil used by the machine decreases. Movements become slower.( should be about ¼ round open)

• Valve no. 2 regulates the ratio of the speed of rotation between the wrapping arm and the table. When turning the valve clockwise, the speed of the wrapping arm decreases and that of the table increases. .( should be about 1/2 round open)

• The wrapping arm's maximum permissible speed of rotation is 20 r/min . This adjustment also determines the highest speeds for all other operations because the overlap must always be 50–55 %.

• When adjusting the overlap it may be necessary to adjust both of the above valves. • Make the following adjustments to the wrapper:

1. The tractor's hydraulics oil must have reached its operating temperature. 2. Adjust the tractor engine speed as desired for the wrapping revolutions. Take into account

that during wrapping the tractor can be used at higher revolutions as well because the excess oil returns directly to the tractor. On the other hand, film overlap will change if the amount of oil supplied by the tractor drops below the set value.

3. Open valve no.1 . (¼ round.) 4. Adjust the wrapper arm speed using valve no. 2. (½ round first) When opening more, arm

goes faster. Using valve no. 1 adjust the overlap. 5. Increase the number of revolutions for the tractor engine. If the speed of the table

increases, valve no. 1 has been opened too much. It must therefore be turned toward the closed position and the valve overlap adjusted correctly.

6. The speed for slow wrapping is adjusted using valve no. 10 if necessary. The adjusting screw has been secured by a nut. The adjustment is made using an Allen key. The slow wrapping speed increases when the oil is hot so observe the machine and, if necessary, adjust the slow speed again. The slow wrapping speed must be correct for the operation of the timing of the film cutter.

7. The adjustment of the film cutter speed is made using valve no. 5; the speed decreases by turning clockwise. If the speed is too high, the film may break when the cutter is only closing.

8. The adjustment of unloading speed is made using no. 3. The speed decreases by turning clockwise. If the speed is too high, the bale can drop down when table goes middle.

14

Page 15: Users Manual Agronic 2002mod

4.0 Side tipper

During wrapping the side tipper is located in a horizontal position behind the bale wrapper. When the table is being lowered, it is lowered to the ground. When the table is being raised, it rises up. Take care that the wrapping arm will not hit the side tipper during wrapping. When using the side tipper, take into account that the bale falls to the right when viewed from behind. Make sure that there is nobody behind or beside the machine. If a bale turns too quickly, it is possible that it rolls further onto the other side and causes a dangerous situation. The machine must not move when dropping a bale.

Operating principle When dropping a bale, it rolls on the side tipper under its own weight. Because of the design of the device, the bale turns on its end. The side tipper cannot be adjusted but the following items affect its operation: • Adjustment of the ground clearance. In the higher position the device works more efficiently. • The lowering speed of the table. Valve no. 3 The faster the speed the more quickly the bale

rolls down. • When the table is in the extreme downward position, the belts must be tight. • Symmetrical bales of uniform quality turn best. • Since the table is down for 2 sec., you may drive forward if necessary, thus avoiding the bale

being torn in the corner of the side tipper.

5.0 Changing the wrapping film roll 1. Turn the film stretcher rollers to the extreme right position. 2. Set the upper end of the film roll against the roller, pushing the roller upwards. 3. Turn the film roll in its place. Check that it is positioned in the middle. 4. Threa the film as shown in the picture. 5. Turn the film stretcher rollers against the film roll and pull the end of the film into the film

cutter.

15

Page 16: Users Manual Agronic 2002mod

6. When using a 500 mm film in the 750 mm stretcher, the stretcher must be fitted with an

adapter. The adapter tube is fitted inside the film roll.

16

Page 17: Users Manual Agronic 2002mod

6.0 Adjusting the film cutter 1. Speed adjustment is made using valve no. 5. 3. Adjustment of knife height. 4. The position of sensor no. 5 can be changed in accordance with bale size so the film gets into

the cutter. 5. Clean the cutter at regular intervals.

7.0 Operation

The operation of the bale wrapper is automatic. Study and understand fully all the functions of the machine before use. After the START command the operation continues automatically. The machine can be stopped when necessary by using the STOP command on the control box, by switching off the tractor's directional valve or by pressing the EMERGENCY OFF button down. Always make sure that there is nobody in the working range of the machine. As the film cutter contains a sharp knife, it must always be closed. Take care when selecting the bale dropping point, the bale might roll a long way on a sloping ground.

7.1 General • Be careful at every stage of the bale making. Try to prevent any impurities from entering the

feed. • Make as tight and uniform bales as possible. • Film overlap must be 50 %. Wrap 2+2+2 layers. • Use only high-quality wrapping film. • If bales must be moved after wrapping, do it as soon as possible. • Familiarize yourself with the user instructions supplied with the wrapping film package. • Consult advisory organizations for instructions regarding suitable mowing time, moisture

content and storing.

17

Page 18: Users Manual Agronic 2002mod

7.2 Loading, wrapping and removing of bales • The lift fork must be in the middle or down (F2A2) and the table up. • Check that there is wrapping film in the stretcher and that the end of the film is in the cutter. • Switch on the oil flow and supply voltage to the machine. • When switching on power to the control box, the following texts will scroll on the display:

AGRONIC, the program's VERSION NUMBER and finally REDY. If the machine does not fulfil the conditions set for the REDY mode, an error message will appear on the display.

• Check the number of revolutions and film overlap. A 120 cm bale requires about 13 revolutions for a wrapping of six layers (75 cm film,). Always ensure that the number of revolutions will be adequate when wrapping the first bale. If the tractor's oil supply drops below the set amount, this will first slow down the rotation of the table and the film overlap will change.

• The bale must have net first. • By pressing the Start key twice the chamber open. • When the bale activates the loading sensor, loading starts automatically. • Driving can be continued immediately when chamber is closed and ”ful” alarm is of. Take into

account the unevenness of the ground and reduce the forward speed if and as necessary. • The bale wrapper continues to operate automatically stage by stage. • When a bale has been wrapped, the text reading TIP appears on the display. The wrapper

then waits for a command to drop the bale. • A prolonged press of the Start key will drop the bale.

7.3 When the film runs out in the middle of wrapping • When one roll runs out, the ER.FL message appears on the display. Automatic operation

starts again by pressing the Start key twice. • In this case only every second of the wrapping pulses is read so the correct amount of film is

applied. Film overlap is not the same as with two rolls, however. When both rolls have run out, the machine stops, and the steady error message FILM is shown on the display.

7.4 If the wrapper arm hits an obstacle • The safety stop (option) stops all machine functions. Manual control does not operate, either.

This is indicated by the four lighted points at the bottom of the display. • The switches of the safety stop must be released by hand. The machine can then be

controlled in the normal manner.

7.5 Transport • Remove the film roll from the stretcher. • Switch off the oil flow.

18

Page 19: Users Manual Agronic 2002mod

8.0 Maintenance

Always before cleaning and servicing: Switch off the supply voltage and the oil flow. Stop the tractor's engine. Do not go under raised machine parts which are not safely supported. Before use check the tightness of all nuts and bolt Check tyre pressures. (19x45-17 wheels, 2.0 bar) After the first hour of operation: Check the tightness of all nuts and bolts. Tighten the cone locking of the chain wheel of the wrapping arm's hydraulic motor. Daily: Check the condition of the hydraulics hoses and couplings. Check the supply voltage cable and the control box cable. Clean the film cutter. Every 25 hours: Lubricate all slide bearings with high-quality grease. Note: to be able to lubricate the upper part of the bogie centre axle, the machine must be jacked up. Lubricate the drive chain for the table and wrapping arm. Grease nipples for slide bearings: • • Lift fork 2 pcs + cylinders 4 pcs • Table 2 pcs + cylinder 2 pcs • Film cutter 4 pcs + cylinder 2 pcs • Bogie 1 pcs/side Pressure filter (option): The filter is not fitted with a by-pass valve so when it is clogged the machine's movements become slower. This is the latest time for the filter element to be replaced. At the end of the season's work: Clean down the machine carefully and coat all parts that have worn bright to prevent rusting. Lubricate all bearings. Lubricate also the ball bearings at the table rollers. Since the bearings are protected, they need only little greasing. The control box must be kept in a clean, dry place.

19

Page 20: Users Manual Agronic 2002mod

9.0 Fault finding

If you search for an electricity fault, stop the tractor engine before fault finding. If this is not possible, keep out of the machine's movement range. The lift fork may drop even if the hydraulics were not switched on. Be careful with an open film cutter. If the bale wrapper does not operate correctly, always check first: supply voltage, cables, tractor's directional valve, quick couplings and pressure filter. If the supply voltage is not received directly from the battery, the voltage may fluctuate so quickly that the control box is not fast enough to give an error message. The processor card and the control box cannot be repaired, they must be replaced with new ones. When power is switched on, nothing occurs on the display - Check whether LED no. 8 on the processor card lights up; if it does not: - Check the fuses: one in the supply voltage cable, one inside the processor housing. - Check that the EMERGENCY OFF button is not down. - Check the supply voltage cable. - Check the safety switches of the wrapping arms by pressing the switch towards the wrapping arm. - The LED lights up. Check the cabling for the control box. A voltage of 12 V must be found between pins 2 and 5 on the control box cable connector. - If the voltage is correct, test the other two cables. Are they undamaged? - If the cabling is correct, the control box is defective and must be replaced. Sensor does not work - Check whether the sensor's indicator lamp lights up when the sensor should be active (see picture). - If it does not light up, bring a metal object close to the sensor head. If the lamp lights up, adjust the sensor nearer. - If it does not light up, either the sensor or the cable is defective. Replace. The lamp lights up but the sensor does not work. Check whether the LED corresponding to the sensor lights up on the processor card. - The LED does not light up. The cable is defective. Check the white plugs. - The LED lights up. The processor card is defective. Replace.

The ill. shows relevant gap for sensors in general. For film control sensors the gap must be less, apx. 1 mm because of quick rotation.

20

Page 21: Users Manual Agronic 2002mod

Wrapping stops at error message FILM - Is there any film in the stretcher? Sensors 11 and 12 detect whether the stretcher rollers rotate at fast wrapping. - Is the sensor at the correct distance? ( 1 mm) - Has the wrapping speed for the model been adjusted too high? Film overlap varies - Has the machine been adjusted precisely in accordance with the instructions? - Do the belts slip? - The flow control valves may contain impurities which have entered with the oil. Turn the valves from one extreme to the other and adjust the machine again. If this will not help, the valves must be opened. This might require special tools. - The tractor supplies oil less than the amount for which the machine has been adjusted. Raise the number of revolutions for the tractor engine or adjust the machine again. - The pressure filter is clogged. Machine jerks - Defective quick couplings or oil supply from the tractor or fluctuating supply voltage. Check supply voltage cables, quick couplings, oil level, pressure filter. Some of the functions do not operate - Check by manual control if the magnetic valve indicator lamp for the function lights up on the processor card. Take into account that indicator lamp no. 15 for free circulation valve must light up in addition to the indicator lamp for the function itself. This applies to all the other functions except for wrapping. During slow wrapping indicator lamp no. 9 is on and during fast wrapping indicator lamp nos. 9 and 10 are on. - If it lights up, check the cabling to the valve and the valve itself. - If it does not light up, the cabling, control box or processor card is defective. See above. Film cutter does not hold the film - Excess back-pressure on the return side of the hydraulics. Check the quick couplings and the

tractor's filter. - Closing time too short. - The Knive too high. Table does not stop at the mid-position - The table sensor is too far away. - Back-pressure on the return side.

1. Electronic ATTENTION! Use only with 12 V (minus earth leaded system) Connect the red cable to the plus-pole and the black one to the minus-pole of the tractor battery. The operating voltage is 12 V and the system doesn’t work if the voltage drops under 10 V. On the other side, the voltage shall not exceed 16 V. Ensure a stable power supply. The delivered cable can be connected to the tractor battery constantly. The system has to be guarded with a 35 A fuse.

1. Place the control box with the magnets in the tractor cabin. Use the steel plate as a basis. 2. The cable from the baler does the power supply. 3. The smaller cable is doing the data communication. 4. Ensure that the cables will not be squeezed or rub at any object. 5. When disconnecting the control box from the tractor always keep it at a dry place. Protect

the end of the cables from moisture and wind. ATTENTION! The motor of the net tying system can start as well without connected control box. Always disconnect the power supply cable from the tractor during service or reparation on the machine.

27

2. Control box n

The text in this area and up to the right, shows which function the nearest key has.

This area of the display shows: Information about status of the system and function, together with different “activities” and adjustments.

Connection for the signal cable from the baler. Digital BUS-signal for all functions.

“STOP” or “ESC” The yellow-orange key has the functions Stop and Esc. After Stop you can chose choose to continue again.

• Choose your language right after connecting the control box to the power supply. The chosen language will be stored.

• The display is changing to sleep modus after an inactive period of time. Touching a key restarts the display again.

• Ensure that the control box always is under dry conditions. Avoid hits on the control box.

3. Display

• Choose your language right after connecting the control box to the power supply. The chosen language will be stored.

• The commands are given by touching the respective key on the display of the control box. You don’t have to touch hard. An acoustic signal is confirms the command.

• The meaning of the touching area is changing from menu to menu. But the yellow area always means the same. “Stop” or “Esc”. This key area has to be activated to stop automatic functions, to go back to the basic menu or to leave the menu.

• The first display shows the basic menu. Preceding you will come to the adjustments. • By “Reset” the automatic function will be set into the start position. It also asks, are you

sure? “Yes” or “No”. • The automatic function can be started in two ways. Either by touching the “Start” key or

by starting the PTO shaft. Then, the automatic system is prepared for the first bale.

28

Page 29: Users Manual Agronic 2002mod

4. Basic functions • After touching the “Start” key, the display shows following:

- Date and Time - Working hours. The number of working hours is determined by measuring the

rotation speed of the PTO shaft. - Name of customer or field description. - Status for the chopping knives, in (cutting) or out (not cutting). - Adjustments for the baler functions. - Rotation speed of the PTO, display is showing 0 rpm. - Status of greasing system. The greasing system starts automatically when PTO

exceeds 300 rpm and opposite. - Status of acid adding system. The acid adding system starts automatically when

PTO exceeds 300 rpm and opposite. • The acid adding system will be stopped when net tying is starting. The addition of acid

will be restarted when the “Stop” signal disappears on the display. That means the bale chamber is closed again and you can proceed baling.

• The addition of the acid can be stopped when touching the key. The text near the key is telling the function of the system.

• Because of safety reasons the acid system can’t start automatically, but manually. • Loading AUTO or MANU. If auto, then baler opens automatically after successful net

tying. If manu, driver has to push load manu button after net tying, after that, the rest of the process is done automatically.

• Independent if the wrapper control system is put into manual or automatic, the working process will continue automatically in both cases after wrapping.

• It is possible to adjust the point of time for net tying (“Delay full chamber to net start”). After receiving the signal for full chamber, the system starts the net tying after waiting a moment. This moment/delay can be adjusted between 1 and 10 sec. That’s the time the driver has to stop the tractor, before the net tying starts automatically.

• Is the net tying set on automatic, and you wish to start the tying earlier, you have to choose the menu to change the adjustments.

• You can use the same principle when wishing to have the bale longer in the baling chamber. But you have to be aware, that you stress the driveline of the baler over the average.

• When choosing no net tying, the chamber opens automatically, without net on the bale. • The yellow key stops all automatic function immediately. The automatic system

remembers where the interruption was and can proceed at the same place after touching the “start” key.

• EXT. OUT. With this button you can put external power output on and off. Max load is 8,5A and 12V. This output cuts off when machine goes into sleep mode after 10 minutes, if machine is not in action.

29

Page 30: Users Manual Agronic 2002mod

5. Menu <Baler> • Touch “Go on” to come to the menu <Baler>. • Here you can adjust the numbers of rotations for the wrapper arm. Is the overlapping of

the film correct, the right number should be 12 or 13. This information is a recommendation and is valid only for 750 mm film and 6 layers. The adjusted number will be stored when leaving the menu.

• Baling without wrapping. Set the number of wrapper arm rotations to 0. Right after the bale is loaded on the wrapper table, you will see the command on the display to unload the bale.

• The chamber can be closed and opened with the two keys on the left side of the display. Is the chamber closed the function has some seconds delay. The display shows when the chamber is opened, but not the angle.

6. Menu 1 <Wrapper> • Touch the key for Wrapper 1 for coming into the first part of the wrapper menu. The name

for the actual menu is in a frame. • By using “up” and “down”, you can move the lifting arm. The display shows the position of

the lifting arm (bottom – middle – top). The lifting arm stops where you let loose the key. In addition the system shows you if there is a bale on the lifting arm or not.

• For the wrapper table you have the same principle like for the lifting arm. The only difference is that the display doesn’t show when in top position.

7. Menu 2 <Wrapper> • Touch the key for Wrapper 2 for coming into the corresponding menu. • The wrapper arms are going into start position automatically. At the same time, the film

holders will be closed. • We recommend tying up the film ends crosswise under transport. When starting

wrapping, the automatic system requires both arms in start position (in contact with both sensors).

• “Wrapping slow” - When touching the key, the wrapper arms are rotating slowly as long as you hold the key. The wrapper table doesn’t rotate.

• “Wrapping fast” - When touching the key, wrapping will be done slowly in two minutes. After that wrapping will continue with high speed as long as you hold the key.

• “Wrapping AUTO” - When touching the key, the automatic wrapping is starting with the determined numbers of rotations. With the yellow key you can go back in the menu and unload the baler later.

You can delete the number of bales together with the customer. It is not possible to take care of the name of the customer when deleting the number of bales and it is not possible to delete the total number of bales. With the “up” and “down” keys you can change from one storage place to another. The star shows the actual position. With the activating key you get into the chosen storage place to make adjustments. Put in the data as the name of the customer by this way.

- The letter function will be activated by the key “sign”. - ABC scrolls the alphabet forward, ZXY backward. - With the arrow key you come to the next letter. - With “erase” you delete letters or information. - With “escape” you store the given information and go out of the menu. With the yellow key

you leave the menu without storing.

30

Page 31: Users Manual Agronic 2002mod

8. Menu settings With the “up” and “down” menu, you go to the position to make changes. With the key “change” you can change the actual settings. The changes will be stored after leaving the menu.

• The net role control registers, if the net role is rotating. Standard is “on”. • The wrapping control registers, if there is film in both pre-stretchers. Standard is “on”. If it

should be necessary to loan a sensor at another place it is possible to use one of the wrapping control sensors. In this case you have to deactivate the wrapping control function (“off”).

• Net tying. Manual or automatic start. This setting can be changed at all times, as well in the wrapper menu.

• Time setting chamber sensor. “Rear door sensor – response time“ is the time how long the chamber sensor has to be activated before the system accepts “full chamber” signal.

• Delay for opening of the film holder/knife. The film holder releases the film ends at the start of the wrapper process. 1 impulse = (1/2 rotations) + delay. The delay time has to be changed if the film ends are released to the wrong time. The delay has to be longer if the film is released too early, or opposite. The rotation speed of the wrapper (valve no. 10) can as well influence the necessary delay time.

• How good the film is fixed during cutting depends on a time setting. This time can be changed as well.

• The reaction time for opening the chamber can be adjusted. A too short time can lead to that the bale doesn’t fall on the lifting arm. A too long time makes the whole process unnecessary long.

• Loading AUTO; leads to immediate loading of the bale when bale has net. MANU; driver has to push button to load.

9. User settings In this menu the actual program version is shown, both in the remote unit and in the control unit. Her you can adjust the brightness of the display. If you wish, you can by using the key “neg/pos” invert the display (black becomes white and opposite). Set the clock by using the “set clock time” key.

31

Page 32: Users Manual Agronic 2002mod

10. Display of faults/errors • The system controls the functions during the whole process. Each error, which arises, will

be shown on the display. When confirming the respective key, the system changes to the manual mode. Is the adjustment done, the automatic mode can be activated again by touching the “start” key.

• The system controls as well if each step is done in the planed period of time. Does the bale after opening the chamber, not touch the sensor on the lifting arm within 10 seconds the process will be interrupted. One reason can be that the bale is sticking in the chamber.

• Is there an error during net tying, while the bale before is not finished wrapped, the wrapping will continue and you get an error sign on the display.

• Is the film of one of the pre stretchers empty or a film is tear off, the wrapping stops and the display shows an error sign. With “Next” you can continue the wrapping with only one film role. The number of rotations will be doubled automatically to have the same number of film layers on the bale.

• When using the Red Security Button on the control unit of the wrapper, all functions will be stopped immediately. On the display following error message appears “baler cable failure”.

• Definition: - Control cable is the cable, which leads from the control box to the control unit of the

wrapper. - Baler cable is the thick cable, which connects the control box and the baler. Failures

in this cable will be shown as failure message on the display: “baler cable failure”. • The system controls the rotations of the PTO. The number of rotations has to be between

540 and 650 rpm. Diverge the rotations from this range a failure message is shown on the display. By touching any key, the message disappears.

• The system controls the rotating speed of the wrapper arms. Is the speed too high, the wrapping process will be stopped together with a failure message on the display. Check the overlapping and if the valve in front of the baler is adjusted right (1/4 rotations opened).

11. Registration of failures • Each failure will be stored. • The system stores the last 10 failures with time data. The oldest registrations will be

deleted. • All registered failures can be deleted.

32

Page 33: Users Manual Agronic 2002mod

12. Auto sequence

• Start PTO or push the button "Start". • Wait until the baler is full. • When correct bale density, you start the net manually by the button or automatically after

set delay time. • The chamber opens automatically. At the same time the table turns towards the baler and

the lifting fork drops. • The lifting fork loads the bale when bale activates the sensor A1 or you can push button

"Start" • The chamber locks. • You may continue baling when the sign “STOP” disappears. • Chamber locking mechanism locks within approx. 2 sec. • Lifting/loading fork goes to mid position. • The wrapping table goes to horizontal position • Wrapping arms starts at slow speed • After one revolution plus 2 sec. (adjustable time) the film holder/cutter opens (activates

fore 0,5 sec.) • Then the wrapping arm goes to full speed. • On the second last revolution, the wrapping arm breaks and film holders/cutters opens. • Film holders/cutters closes. The machine waits for new instructions. • When pushing the button "Tip" for more than 2 sec., the bale unloads. • The net system operates independent from the wrapping. • If the last bale is not unloaded, new bale can’t be recharged at the lifting fork.

13. Automatic function, change It is possible to start the automatic sequence from another position, if any obstacle during the process.

• ”Wrapper 3” wraps the bale one more time. • The button "Skip net tying" allows opening chamber without netting, (just for testing). The

program asks always “are you sure”?

14. Sensor failure If some of the sensors fail, they can be replaced with another from some of the other functions. You can skip one or both of the film control sensors, just go to the many and skip “film control”. The sensor at the loading fork can also be borrowed. There are 4 “spare sensors” on total at the machine: (Net control in front, lifting fork and two film control sensors).

33

Page 34: Users Manual Agronic 2002mod

15. To by pass a sensor Sensors task is to give information to the program about positions and functions. If there is any failure, it is not possible to run the machine through the program properly and the safety functions don’t work properly. Because of this, the sensors are also at manually operation integrated. Sometimes it may happen they get contradictory information’s and you want, or must continue in the program. Under such circumstances, you have to be very careful! If needed, you can by pass some of the functions as follows: • The machine has to be manually operated: Push the button by, wrapper 1 or wrapper 2 on

the menu. • Push also the yellow button in the bottom right corner. • The screen shows: ”sensor not active”. • Push by the wished function. Please hold the button for operation. If you stop, but really want

to continue, please push button the buttons under left and yellow at the same time. • For other functions, please same procedure.

16. Service indicator The control box indicates service requirement every 12 hours. After service made due to the instructions from the manual, please enter and hold the button by the flashing slashes, and the machine continues.

17. Sensor Test In this menu you can see the status of every sensor. If you think some sensor is not working put a piece of steel next to sensors head, sensor light should be on and menu should say “on”.
