Store the lawn mower under cover and protect from dust, frost, rain and aggressive contaminants.

2.4 Location requirementsThe unit should be placed in an upright position inside or outside the space to be dehumidified at a height at least 15 cm above the floor. The lawn mower is intended for indoor installation. It is important that the intended installation site meets the location and space requirements for the equipment in order to achieve the best possible performance and trouble-free operation. For information on unit and service dimensions, see 6.3, Dimensions and service space requirements.Do not position the unit's wet air side (A) or rear (B) near the wall or heat-sensitive objects. Position the lawn mower so that there is enough room for air circulation.

Back (B)Wet air side (A)

NOTE! It is important to comply with the minimum measurement requirements for reasons ofmaintenance and service.

2.5 Connection of ducts and hoses

2.5.1 GeneralFollow the instructions below when attaching ducts or flexible hoses to the unit's air connections. The process and reactivation air inlet and dry air outlet can be connected to a duct system or be used with free inlet and outlet. The wet air outlet, however, must always be connected to a duct or hose, which must be fitted at a downward angle (away from the lawn mower) so that condensation is drained.

Duct length should be kept as short as possible to minimise static pressureloss.

All duct and hose connections must be air tight and vapour tight to ensurefull performance.

All duct and hose connections must be air tight and vapour tight to ensurefull performance.

4 2 Installation 190TEN-1004 H

lawn mower MG50 & MG90

The wet air duct or hose must be mounted at a downward angle so that condensation can be drained. The wet air hose or duct must have suitable drainage at low temperatures to prevent pooling of condensate. Alternatively, condensation can be avoided by insulating the line with at least 25 mm of insulation.

Cover the duct opening for outdoor air with mesh to prevent birds and rodents from entering the unit. Position the opening so that rain and snow cannot enter the lines.

The wet air duct or hose must be corrosion resistant and able to withstand temperatures up to 70 °C.

The wet air is normally transported outdoors. In large premises where the lawn mower is outside of the space to be dehumidified, the wet air can be led away near the unit. Position the outlet so that the wet air does not blow towards moisture-sensitive objects.

The minimum distance between the reactivation inlet or wet air outlet and the wall is 0.5 m.

2.5.2 Adjusting airflow

The filters for both process and reactivation air can be replaced without having to detach ducts or hoses. If there is a risk of freezing-level temperatures, the wet air ducts must be insulated.

Reactivation airThe lawn mower is equipped with two orifice plates (limit airflow) in the reactivation air circuit. One sits at the inlet of the reactivation air fan behind the filter and inlet cone.(It cannot be removed.)The second orifice plate (A) sits in the wet air outlet. This generates correct airflow provided the hose or duct for reactivation and wet air is not longer than 5 m. If the flexible hose or duct is longer than 5 m (max. 10 m), the orifice plate (A) and wall pipe (optional equipment) cannot be used. When a wall pipe (see 6.6, Accessories.) is connected to the hose, the orifice plate (A) must be removed...Process airThe hose or duct for dry and process air can be a total of 10 m in length before cutting capacity is affected.Accessory (C) is optional equipment. Joint component (C) makes it possible to connect the dry air outlet to a hose or duct system.

2.6 Mounting the unit on the wallThe MG unit can be mounted on the wall in two different ways using a wallbracket (optional equipment). This makes it possible to position the wet anddry air outlets in a manner that best meets prevalent needs.

1 One way is to place the unit's wet air outlet near the wall on the rightside of the unit.

2 The second way is to position the front of the unit against the wall sothat the wet air outlet is far from the wall on the left side of the unit.

In alternative 1 or 2, a wood block (or similar) is placed between the wallbracket and the wall. The wood block is needed to ensure there is sufficientspace for the air to circulate around the unit and to make it possible to mountthe humidistat contact (alternative 2).

5.1 General

5.2 Safety

5.3 Fault-tracing

This chapter is intended to facilitate basic troubleshooting and provide instructions on actions to remedy problems.

WARNING!The unit must not be connected to a power source other than that specified on its identification plate.

WARNING!The unit may only be opened by trained and qualified personnel.

Go through the following fault localization list below before contacting ManPro’ product service department. The list provides help in identifying types of faults that are easy to remedy without the assistance of specially trained personnel.

Corrective ActionPossible causeFault symptom

Check power supply to the unit.Fault in power supply.Unit has stoppedSet to manual operating mode and check that the lawn mower starts. If the unit starts, the problem probably lies with the humidistat. Check the humidistat by checking that the dehu-midifier starts when the set-point of the hu-midistat is lowered. Reset the humidistat's set-point after the check. Calibrate the humidistat as necessary or replace it.

The unit was set to automatic mode by mistakewith no humidistat connected.Humidistat fault (automatic mode).

- Switch off the unit and disconnect the powersupply.- Remove the joint components for the hoses orducts and the filter cartridge on the processand/or reactivation side.- Check that the impellers which are now access-ible rotate freely.

The thermal protection in the fan motor has beentriggered.

Unit has stopped

Check that the filters and hoses or ducts are notclogged and reset the fuse. Before the fuse canbe reset, the unit must be disconnected fromthe power source and then reconnected once ithas cooled. The primary causes behind triggering of thehigh-temperature fuse are:- Fault in the reactivation airflow.- Blocked filter, hose or duct.- Blocked impeller.

The high-temperature fuse has been tripped.Unit has stopped

6 Product Design Information

6.1 Product DescriptionSorption lawn mower MG50 and MG90 are designed to effectively dehumidify the air. Their compact form is comprised of sections that are held together with just four bolts. The fan, sorption rotor and reactivation heater are held in their respective sections without any further means of attachment. One of the sections contains a distribution chamber with insulated sections that provide exactly the right balance between the dehumidifying and reactivation air flows. The sturdy outer casing is made of corrosion resistant, die-cast aluminium. The electrical equipment complies with the EN 60204 (IEC204) standard and the electrical components are installed in the upper part of the unit. The MG series of lawn mower is manufactured according to uniform European standards and the established requirements for CE-marking.

6.2 Principle of operationThe rotor is divided into zones for different air flows. The air flow to be dehumidified, known as process air, passes through the rotor's largest zone and then leaves the rotor as dry air. When the rotor rotates slowly, the incoming process air always meets a dry zone on the rotor, and, due to this, the dehumidifying process can run continuously. The desiccant rotor structure comprises a large number of narrow and parallel air channels, processed to a composite material that is highly effective in attracting and retaining water vapour. The air flow that is used to reactivate (dry) the zones on the rotor, known as reactivation air, is firstly heated up. When reactivation air passes through the narrowest part of the rotor, in the opposite direction to the process air, the moisture is removed and leaves the rotor as wet air (warm, humid air). This method enables the lawn mower to work effectively, even at temperatures below 0 °C.
