1. Introduction The User Manual contains all essential information for the state & district level user to make full use of the
“Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan” (PMSMA) portal. This manual includes a description of the
system and step-by-step procedures for system access and use.
2. About PMSMA Portal NHP PMSMA portal can be accessed through http://www.pmsma.nhp.gov.in and is a centralized location
for accessing all the information related to PMSMA Services.
This portal provide access to various stakeholders of the project, and who can access the information as
per their jurisdiction. Various stakeholders have been provided with user id & password to access the
portal; below the list of stakeholders:
Volunteer (Doctor)
CMO/District Nodal officer
State HQ
Ministry (MoHFW)
Professional Bodies like IMA etc.
3. Activities of CMO/ District level user in the PMSMA portal: 1. Dashboard –
2. CMO Profile- Create/update your profile & define PMSMA facilities
3. Volunteer list - View the list and profile of volunteers registered under your district for the PMSMA
scheme
4. Volunteer credit - Submission of Monthly data for the volunteers
5. PMSMA Monthly Report- Complete data report of PMSMA scheme including Govt facility &
Volunteers
6. Grievance- Can search & reply to any grievance raised by any volunteer in your district.

Step 3: -
The user has to enter the ID password provided to them the NHP and Captcha from the login
screen.
Click on Submit Button.
Note:
The Captcha is case sensitive so it has to enter in exact letters as shown i.e. Capital letters if shown
in capital letters and small letter if shown in small letters.
The user can regenerate the Captcha by clicking on refresh button on right side of the Captcha.
On Successful login, User will be redirected on the dashboard. Every user has dashboard with
different information on the dashboard. Below is the dashboard for CMO user.z

4.2 CMO’s Dashboard: All the important information related to the PMSMA services will be displayed in the dashboard of the
CMO.
The user can click in the numbers against each label and can view the details information.
Further CMO can view monthly Volunteer Stats and PMSMA Services Stats on his Dashboard.
CMO will Select Month and Year and click on search to view monthly stats.
All the these links
are hyperlinks
and redirect the
user to
respective page.

5. CMO Profile The CMO user can create/update his profile and can add facilities from his login. He has to follow below
steps to create his profile.
Step 1: Login in the Application
Step 2: Click on CMO Profile from the left side menu.
Step 3:
Click on choose file to upload image
Add the basic information i.e. Name, Email & Mobile of the District CMO and Nodal Officer of the
PMSMA scheme of that District.
Click on Submit.
Click on remove to delete
the facilities entered under
the PMSMA.
Click on Add More to add
more entries of facilities.

6. How to add facilities in CMO profile The CMO user can add/update facilities from his profile by following the below steps.
Step 1: Login in the Application
Step 2: Click on CMO Profile from the left side menu.
Click on remove to delete
the facilities entered under
the PMSMA.
Click on Add More to add
more entries of facilities.

While adding the facilities, user has to follow below steps to add facility:
Step 1: Select the District from the District
On Selecting the District, all the facilities of the corresponding District will be populated in the Facility
column.
Step2: User can select the required facility or filter on various parameter as given.
Step3: Filter the Facility by selecting the Taluka of your district, it will filter the facility of that Taluka only.
User can select his required facility.
Step 4: User can further filter the facility On selecting Block or Facility Type.
If the facility do not belong to any taluka or Block, user can directly select the facility from its column.
Step 5: 1 record of facilities under PMSMA will be displayed by default. CMO can do more entries of
facilities by clicking on add more link.

6.1 Real example of adding the facilities: Let’s consider an example of District Amritsar from Punjab.
The district has following facility 27 facility while it want to add only 3 (Marked yellow) facility for PMSMA

On Selecting the District, all the facilities of the corresponding District will be populated in the Facility
column.
To select the 5 facility for PMSMA, below are the facility wise steps to be performed:
1. Facility 1: UTC Chowk Fuhara
a. Select District “Amritsar”
b. Select Taluka “Amritsar-I”
c. Leave block field, as it do belong to any block
d. Select Facility Type “Sub Centre”
e. In Facility name, select the “UTC Chowk Fuhara”
f. Click Add More to add more facilities

Please note, You can directly select the facility name after selecting District, without selecting any

2. Facility 2: CHC TARSIKKA
a. Select District “Amritsar”
b. Select Taluka “Baba bakala”
c. Select Block “Tarsikka”
d. Select Facility Type “Community Health Center”
e. In Facility name, select the “CHC TARSIKKA”
f. Click Add More to add more facilities

Please note, You can directly select the facility name after selecting District, without selecting any

3. Facility 3: Notional SC Urban Area Guru Ki Wadaali
a. Select District “Amritsar”
b. Select Taluka “Amritsar-II”
c. Select Block “VERKA”
d. Select Facility Type “Sub Centre”
e. In Facility name, select the “Notional SC Urban Area Guru Ki Wadaali”

Please note, You can directly select the facility name after selecting District, without selecting any

Click on Submit button, to save the page.
If you do not click on submit button, any data will not be save.

6.2 If facility is not available in list - Add new Facility name If required facility name is not available in the list. The user will select other from the facility list, a pop up
will open where user can view the list of existing facilities and can add new facility in the list.
E.g. Anooshahr is a facility which is not in the list of facilities under Kapurthala.
Step 1: Select other from the facility list,

A pop up will open as shown below;
Step2:
Select the required fields District, Taluka, Block and Facility Type
You can leave the Taluka & Block & Facility Type blank if not know.
Enter the name of Facility
Click on Submit.

Step 3: The entered name of facility will display in the list as shown below;

7. Volunteer List It is being used by the CMO user to view the list and profile of volunteer registered for the PMSMA
services in the PMSMA portal under your district. The CMO user has to follow the few steps to view the
volunteers list and profiles.
Step 1: Login in the application
Step 2: Click on the List under Volunteer from left side menu as shown below;

Step 3:
Search the volunteer by various parameters like volunteer’s Name, Date of registration and Profile
Status.
Click on Search. The list of volunteers as per selected search parameters will be displayed in the
grid.
Reset button is given to make all the fields blank.

1. Profile status: Profile status will be Active or Inactive.
Any volunteer who is no more participating in the PMSMA program can be made inactive by clicking
on the Active – YES button; after clicking on yes the status will be changed to No and volunteer will
become inactive, it’s a toggle button, once inactive you can again make him active by clicking on
the same button.
Click on the view button on extreme right to view the complete profile on the volunteer; as per below

7.1 Volunteer’s Profile View:

8. Volunteer Credit The CMO will use this screen to update the various information about the volunteer on monthly basis.
You would need to submit the information of volunteer’s Credit on the monthly basis for every registered
volunteer. The below steps need to be followed to update the volunteer credit.
Step 1: Login in the application
Step 2: Click on the Credit under Volunteer as shown below;

Step 3:
Select Month, year and status.
o Month & year for which the data has to submitted
o Status - it has values
All – All the volunteer for the month would be shown
Pending – Volunteer whose data is not submitted will be shown
Submitted – Volunteer whose data is submitted will be shown
Click on Search
Reset button is to make all the fields blank.

Step 4:
Enter the Volunteer credit details for the volunteers.
o Reported
Select Yes, if volunteer reported at the required facility
Select No, if Volunteer do not came at the required facility (In case of No, all other
fields has to be blank)
o Facility name
Select the Facility name where volunteer reported, from the available list.
This dropdown has list of PMSMA facility select by CMO under CMO profile section
o Pregnant Woman
Enter the number of Pregnant woman examined by Volunteer
o No of Hours
Enter number of Hours put in the volunteer for examining the pregnant woman at
the given health facility

Step 5: Click on Save.
On clicking save, the data will be saved, & status will be changed to Submitted.
If volunteer credit for any volunteer is
added then status will submitted, if not
entered then status will be pending.

9. PMSMA Data Monthly Step 1: Login in the application
Step 2: Click on the PMSMA Data Monthly under Volunteer as shown below;

Search the volunteer by Month, Year.
Click on Search
Reset button is given to make all the fields blank.

Step 4:
Add the total data of sum total of all the PMSMA facility for that month.
This data has to include the Antenatal check-up provided by both Volunteer & Government facility
doctors.

10. Grievances Volunteer or doctor can raise any grievance though portal with or without login.
The volunteer will select the “working for” state & District while submitting the grievance & grievance will
be shown to corresponding district user.

10.1 Answering a Grievance The CMO user can search, view and reply the grievances sent by the volunteers by following the below
steps.
Step 1: Login in the application
Step 2: Grievance Search
Click the Search under Grievances as shown below;

Step 5: Reply to the Volunteer
Type your reply in the text area
Attach any document if required
Click on Submit.
On submit an email will be sent to the person who is raising the grievance.
Volunteer can check the grievance under his login, and reply in similar way. Hence, this is an unlimited
thread of to & fro replies between volunteer & CMO.
The Grievance thread is visible to state & ministry user as well.

11. Activities of State level user in the PMSMA portal: 1. State Profile- Create and update your profile

13. Volunteer List in State Login It is being used by the State user to view the list and profile of volunteer registered for the PMSMA
services in the PMSMA portal under your state. The state user follow the below steps to view the
volunteer list and volunteer’s profile.
Step 1: The state user will Login in the application
Step 2: Click on the List under Volunteer.
Step 3:
Search the volunteers by District.
Click on Search
