in support of samsung Canada’s solve for Tomorrow Challenge, Toronto star Classroom Connection created a new teaching resource for students titled: use the neWs to explore sTem.

This enriching program was developed for grade 6 – 12 students and their teachers. This inquiry-based program helped teachers to meet some of the curriculum expectations outlined in the biology, chemistry, earth and space science and physics strands of the science programs in a highly creative and interactive manner. The program also supports language/english teachers in meeting some curriculum expectations since listening and speaking, reading, writing, and viewing and representing will naturally be used to complete the activities in the program

This program included:• 25 copies of the Student Guide• 1 Teacher Guide (pdf)• One month access to the Toronto Star ePaper

37,500 students across Canada received this resource in the classroom.
