    readying for War Confederate

    preparation:

The generals in the south were all

    good thinkers and had good

    experiences, most of them were

    influenced by the French revolution,

    which General Napoleonic used the

    tactics that were called the

Napoleonic tactics, and he used it in

the french war, so most of the

    generals were influenced by

    the Napoleonic style of fighting.

Their uniforms were a red colored,

    and they had strict rules.

The army had less experience thanthe north, because the south had

less population, so the south had to

    invite younger people

    Minority Groups influences

    GROUPS

    AFRICAN AMERICANS

    WOMEN

    IMMIGRANTS

    SPIES

    African Americans: The north had

more people, but the south had more

    african americans, so those african

americans joined the war hoping for

freedom, but they were getting low

jobs at the war as well.

Women: Many women were forced to

support their side, because many of the

slaves that helps them were in war, and some

of those women had a good amount of

    wealth.

    Immigrants: The south did not

welcome any immigrants beforeor during the civil war.

Spies: The spies had a good

    influence towards the south,

    because they helped them in

    finding important information

    about the north union.

    The Soldiers serving

in Confederatearmy had a lot of

    troubles at that

    time, even thought

    they were well

    organized and

    prepared in the

    beginning. They

    had many problems

    with the place,

    lack of food and

    supplies.

    Camp Life

    African Americans slaves

had the job of cookingto to the soldiers. They

lived in a tent that were

to house 5 or 6 men.

    during winter they had

    fires to keep them worm.

    They smoked and drank

    were good musicians.

    The war caused so

    much Problems,

    specially to the

    south, most of the

    civilians were

    exhausted and the

    others didn't have

    any money, and it

    was hard to get jobs

    at that time, so it

was really hard tobuy food and make

    money.

    The Food was the

    biggest problem for

    them, because they

    were trying to but

    their own, and they

    had to give food to

    the soldiers as well,

    and it was required

    to deliver them first.

    Life on the home front

    10/12

    Most of the civil war

battles were foughtin the south, which

    made the south

    lands ruined, so it

    was not a good

    farming land

    anymore, so it was

    hard for them to

    grow cotton and

    other crops, also

    The south was

    depending on slave,

    so since the war

    was over, slavery

    was abolished, so

    they had no

    workers, which

    means the south

    farming was over.

    The soldiers

    borrowed moneywhich made

    problems to certain

    families.

    KkK starts to arise.
