University of Southern California | #complete12 ACADEMIC SPOTLIGHT Name: Candela Abejón | Major: Electrical Engineering “I've just always wanted to be an engineer but I really don't even know why. In Spain, it's pretty normal. Especially in my city, there are a lot of engineers. It's not strange for a kid to want to grow up and do that.” How much English had you learned and used before coming to USC? CA: Yeah, the English we learned in school is totally different than what is here. I've studied English every year since I was four and when I came here it wasn't the same. It takes awhile to get used to the accents, the way people talk and the slang. Did anyone tell you that engineering is considered one of the hardest majors at USC? CA: No (laughs) they didn't. But I found out pretty fast. My parents did research before I came though - it was always very important to them that I go to a school that was great academically - and they told me that USC is in the Top 50 in the world in electrical engineering. When they saw that they told me I was definitely coming here. Have you seen yourself progress even in just the last four to five months? CA: Yes, so much. If I really think about it I'm probably learning 10 words a day. At the beginning I was always asking questions and always asking people to repeat things. I couldn't follow conversations. But now I sometimes catch myself thinking in English, which is a big change. TOP PERFORMERS 3.19 — Sadie Edwards (Undeclared) 3.06 — Candela Abejón (Electrical Engineering) 3.03 — Courtney Jaco (Psychology) 3.02 — Jordan Adams (Communication Management) Pac-12 students are known for their athletic success, but they are also impressive, complete people with outside interests, diverse backgrounds, extracurricular activities, interesting families, busy schedules, and full lives. The release for this week’s competition is focused on who USC students are in the classroom and community. COMMUNITY CORNER HELPING HANDS: Less than a week after Los Angeles’ City Hall announced a “state of emergency” to fight homelessness, the Women of Troy responded with a service trip to the Los Angeles Mission in October. Trading in basketballs for aprons and serving gloves, the team whipped up meals for the mission’s patrons, sharing smiles and words of encouragement along the way. In addition to preparing chicken and serving hot dogs, the 13 Trojan student-athletes toured the LA Mission’s facilities and gained a deeper appreciation for the improvements made by those that seek assistance from the mission. According to the Los Angeles Mission’s website, 53,000 homeless men, women and children roam the Los Angeles streets. Of course, the team also shared what they know best, donating 10 basketballs to the facility and setting up a few pick-up games before the meals were served. In total, the women’s basketball team shared 52 hours of service. SPECIAL ATTENTION: When USC hosted the Special Olympics World Games in summer 2015, Jordan Adams was there. She spent time at Galen Center, where USC was hosting basketball, and interviewed several athletes for usctrojans.com. RISE UP FOR ROSE: USC basketball has been active in the Rose Cup since its start four years ago. Named for the mother of former women’s tennis player Kaitlyn Christian, the event was created by current player Giuliana Olmos to raise money and awareness for breast caner research. USC student-athletes combine forces on the courts at Marks Stadium in support for the cause. The $5,000 raised through the tournament, t-shirts sold and other donations go directly to Dr. Julie Lang’s research lab at the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center. FAMILY TIES Courtney Jaco will soon have a fellow Trojan as a brother-in-law! She’ll be welcoming USC and NBA star Demar DeRozan to the family. Temi Fagbenle is the ninth of 12 siblings, ranging in age from the 40s to age 8. Living in London for much of Temi’s life, the Fagbenle family has stayed close to its Nigerian roots and regularly cooks traditional Nigerian food. HOBBY HUDDLE The Women of Troy are a musical bunch! From freestyle rap to classical piano, USC has a well- rounded group of artists on the team. Here are the hidden (or not- so-hidden) talents of several Trojans: Candela Abejón: studied classical piano for 11 years Aliyah Mazyck: learned to play the drums from her grandfather Khaedin Taito: claims she’s the worst singer in her family, but she has an amazing voice! Kristen Simon: skilled freestyle rapper and lyricist Alexis Lloyd: Best at “laying down the beats” for Simon USC WOMEN’S BASKETBALL usctrojans.com | @uscwbb CONTACT: Darcy Couch | [email protected]| 213-725-3447 NUTRITIONAL CORNER Temi Fagbenle ordered frogs legs at a recent team meal, and encouraged her teammates to have a try! “Tastes like chicken, and a little bit of fish” was the consensus. IN THE NATIONAfter USC’s upset win over No. 15-ranked rival UCLA on Jan. 10, the Women of Troy had risen to rank No. 25 in the nation in the AP poll on Jan. 11 — USC’s first national ranking since 2014. USC fell out of the rankings the week of Jan. 18, and remains unranked in both polls again this week. USC weighs in at No. 39 on the latest RPI list as of Feb. 16. Oregon ranks highest at No. 7 in the AP poll and is No. 8 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. Oregon is unranked.
LAST WEEKUSC wound up with a home split last week, falling 61-53 to Washington before exacting some revenge against WSU with a 64-62 win over the Cougars. USC put up a fierce fight in the final stages of Friday’s Pac-12 clash against UW, but the Huskies were able to hold off the charging Trojans. While Kristen Simon continued to add to her historic rebounds count, USC landed rare 3-pointers from Alexis Lloyd and Temi Fagbenle as USC carved the deficit down to four points in the final minute. Washington made good from the free-throw line, though, and held off USC for a

final 61-53 victory. USC committed 10 first-half turnovers but was hitting the boards hard, thanks in large part to a career-high 14 rebounds from Simon in the first half alone. Still, USC’s 27-percent shooting effort trailed Washington’s 31 percent, leaving the Trojans behind the Huskies 24-19 by halftime. Foul trouble for USC’s Fagbenle also served to stymie the Trojans’ progress, with USC’s top scorer tagged with two early fouls and saddled with her fourth early in the third quarter. USC would fall behind by 18 midway through the fourth before finding a spark and cutting the deficit down to single digits, only to see Washington hold strong from the stripe to close it out. USC finished out the game shooting 34 percent from the floor to UW’s 36 percent. USC drained eight 3-pointers — five from Jaco — while the Huskies hit six. USC won out on the boards 39-37 led by Simon’s incredible 21-rebound night. That outing marks the fourth most rebounds ever collected by a Trojan, putting the sophomore just a step behind the efforts of Trojan greats Cheryl Miller and Lisa Leslie. Still, the Huskies won the day in part by forcing 16 Trojan turnovers and netting 15-of-18 free throws. USC interrupted UW for 13 Husky turnovers, but was rarely sent to the line, going 5-of-8 from the stripe in this one. USC was led in scoring by Jaco’s 17 points, getting 12 from Fagbenle and 10 from Sadie Edwards. Two days later, it was USC fending off WSU to score the win. The Cougars carved down a once-double-digit lead to a single basket in the final minute, prompting Courtney Jaco to stand her ground and finish off a 64-60 Trojan victory at Galen Center. It was a hot-shooting first half with both teams clocking in at 50-percent or above from the floor through the first 20 minutes of action. USC’s 52-percent effort was charged up in part by a trio of threes from Jaco -- pulling her to No. 6 all-time in career 3-pointers -- and 16 points from Temi Fagbenle to craft a 39-31 USC lead at halftime. WSU had more scorers in the books than USC had Trojans hit the floor in the first half, but USC was making the most of its thinned roster. In the third frame, though, USC’s scoring touch cooled and WSU caught up. The Cougars would creep into a slim lead with 3:50 to go in the game, only to see USC fire back with a Jaco three, a Simon score and a Fagbenle bucket that added some all-important padding to the USC lead. By the final buzzer, USC was shooting just under 40 percent from the floor, while the Cougars had heated up to 52 percent overall. WSU also won out on the boards 37-30, but were plagued by 27 turnovers and a 3-of-11 outing from the free-throw line. USC, meanwhile, committed 20 turnovers and shot 14-of-19 from the stripe in this one. USC was led by Fagbenle’s ninth career double-double on a career-high 26 points to go with 13 rebounds. She’d also hand out a career-high 5 assists. Jaco dumped in four more 3-pointers to climb up to No. 6 all-time on the career charts, and she’d land 6-of-6 free throws to finish up with 18 points on the day.
COOP’S COUNT GROWSUSC’s 74-67 comeback win over visiting Oregon on Jan. 4 not only got the Trojans’ first Pac-12 win on the board, it marked Cynthia Cooper-Dyke’s 200th career victory as a head coach. Cooper-Dyke got all hands on deck in the landmark victory, with eight Trojans in on the scoring action, including double-digit efforts from her own hand-picked additions Temi Fagbenle and Aliyah Mazyck. Cooper-Dyke now holds a 205-142 career record as a head coach. Now in her third season at USC, Cooper-Dyke is 55-36 at Troy.
STRONG STARTUSC posted a powerful 12-0 start to the 2015-16 season, doubling up on its most recent best season start of 6-0, last hit in 1993-94 with Cheryl Miller as head coach. That year also was the last time USC finished in first place in the Pac-10 conference. The 12-0 start also bettered another USC benchmark, last achieved in 1984-85 when Linda Sharp’s Women of Troy opened up the season 10-0. USC’s best-ever start was set in 1981-82 with an 18-0 mark to start Cynthia Cooper’s freshman season at USC. USC’s previous significant undefeated starts came in 1993-94 (6-0), 1985-86 (6-0), 1984-85 (10-0), 1983-84 (10-0), 1982-83 (13-0) and 1981-82 (18-0). When USC hit 9-0 this season, the Trojans were named the NCAA.com Team of the Week on Dec. 14.
NATIONAL ATTENTIONThe numbers USC is pinning up are registering in the national stat sheets. Entering the week, USC’s defense ranks No. 45 in the nation, having given up just 57.2 points per game. USC’s average margin of victory of 11.5 points ranks 41st in the land. The Trojans average 10.6 steals per game to rank No. 18 in the nation in that category. Individually, Temi Fagbenle pops up on a couple top-100 lists, ranking No. 34 in the nation in field goal percentage at 53.7% and at No. 66 with 9.1 rebounds per game, joined by Kristen Simon on the rebounding chart. Simon is No. 89 in the nation with her 8.7 rpg. Courtney Jaco also stands out, ranked No. 59 in the land with her 60 threes made to date, and No. 57 with her 3-point shooting percentage of 38.7%.
USC BY THE NUMBERSLed by Temi Fagbenle’s team-high 14.2 points and 9.1 rebounds per game entering this week, the Women of Troy are putting up some strong numbers in 2015-16. USC has beaten six teams by at least 30 points and is holding opponents to just 57.2 points per game. In all, USC has four players averaging double digits, and three with at least 7.7 rebounds per game. The tightly knit group of scoring leaders has Fagbenle on top with 14.2 ppg followed closely by Jordan Adams and Sadie Edwards. Sidelined for 14 games this season to date, Adams averages 12.8 ppg and 7.7 rpg. With career days in recent weeks, Edwards is now No. 3 on the scoring charts with 11.4 ppg. Next in line is sophomore Kristen Simon, who is providing 11.0 ppg along with her powerful 8.5 rebounds per game. Meanwhile, Courtney Jaco is just outside the double-digit scoring zone with 9.9 ppg. Sharpshooter Jaco had her 14-game 3-point scoring streak come to a close on Jan. 2 but still leads the Trojans with 60 threes nailed this season — a new single-season best for her. USC’s top distributor is easily BriannaBarrett, who had been serving up 5.8 assists per game before

missing the first game of her USC career on Jan. 15 due to eligibility issues. As a team, USC is averaging 68.7 points per game, shooting .414 from the floor and .696 from the free-throw line. USC is outrebounding opponents 967-914.
TEMI TAKES THE STAGEPost player Temi Fagbenle picked up honors as the Pac-12 Player of the Week on Jan. 11 after a particularly powerful performance in two big victories. Fagbenle is the first Trojan to win the award in almost two years, when Cassie Harberts earned the honor on Jan. 20, 2014. Fagbenle tacked up back-to-back double-doubles in the two Pac-12 wins. Her dominance was key in notching a 75-67 win over Oregon and a 71-68 victory over rival UCLA. Against the Ducks, Fagbenle delivered 19 points and hauled in 11 rebounds. In the rivalry clash against the Bruins, Fagbenle went bigger. She set the tone for the Trojans in snagging 12 of her final 15 rebounds during the first half. Later, Fagbenle scored USC’s first eight points of the fourth to build a strong lead for the Trojan cause. Fagbenle would finish the win with 20 points to go with her 15 boards. Fagbenle currently leads USC in scoring and rebounding with 14.2 points and 9.1 rebounds per game. In Pac-12 play to date, Fagbenle also is averaging a team-best 15.6 points and 10.4 rebounds per game.
SIMON STEPS UPSophomore Kristen Simon has made this season her time to shine as she has come up big in her role down low. Increased minutes and increased confidence has seen the sophomore almost double her production from her freshman season. Simon has bumped up her scoring numbers from 6.7 points per game as a freshman to stand as USC’s fourth leading scorer this season with 11.0 ppg. On the boards, Simon has upgraded her tally from 5.5 rebounds per game to stand at No. 2 on the boards for the Trojans with 8.7 rpg this season to date. A full-time starter now, Simon is putting in 29.8 minutes per game to overmatch last season’s 17.3 average minutes played. She’s also recorded her first career double-doubles in her sophomore campaign, holding eight so far and boasting a total of 16 games in which she’s scored in double figures.
THREE-POINT THREATSJunior Courtney Jaco — USC’s returning top gun from 3-point range — has some new backup beyond the arc in sophomore Sadie Edwards and freshman Aliyah Mazyck. Jaco has already eclipsed her season-best mark of 48 threes nailed last season. She’s hit 60 to date and continues to climb in the USC career charts. Now with 133 career 3-pointers hit, Jaco sits in the #6 all-time spot in that category, and her sharpshooting also has her No. 4 all-time in career 3-point percentage at 37.7%. Jaco, Edwards and Mazyck have proven a potent tandem for the Trojans this season. Edwards, who became eligible for action on Dec. 18 after coming to Troy last season as a midyear transfer from UConn, has stepped into her role and nailed 14 threes in her 16 games played to date. Mazyck, meanwhile, hit her first career three in her second game as a Trojans and has gone on to collect 19 threes so far. Not to be counted out from 3-point land is redshirt junior Jordan Adams, who found her scoring touch from distance and hit 13 threes in her 12 appearances this season. That count is a significant upgrade from past seasons. Adams hit six as a redshirt freshman and a total of nine last season.
TROJANS AT A GLANCECynthia Cooper-Dyke and her returning staff of associate head coach Beth Burns and assistants Jualeah Woods and Taja Edwards have constructed a 2015-16 group of Women of Troy with great potential to improve on last year’s 15-15 finish. USC graduated its top scorers and rebounders Kaneisha Horn and Alexyz Vaioletama -- who provided 12.0 and 10.3 points per game, respectively, along with 6.9 rebounds per game apiece – from last year’s squad. Replacing those veterans may not be easy, but Cooper-Dyke expects to fill the statistical void that the departed players have left. In fact, she sees this group of Trojans as decidedly capable of making a strong run in the Pac-12 and beyond. Five Women of Troy return from last year’s roster, with Jordan Adams, BriannaBarrett and Courtney Jaco standing out as the only players with at least two seasons of work under their belts at Troy, but they also boast winning experience as members of the 2014 Pac-12 Tournament Championship team. Returners Alexis Lloyd and Kristen Simon played their first seasons as Trojans last year. As the veterans of the bunch, that group is joined by a solid seven new Trojans — two transfers, three international additions, one California product and one North Carolina native.
WORLDLY WOMEN OF TROYThe international flavor at Troy this season adds a new element to the USC gameplan. In the recent past, no more than one international player has been on a USC roster at a time. This year, USC welcomes Candela Abejón from Spain, Dani Milisic from Australia and Khaedin Taito from New Zealand. Milisic joined the Trojans as a Spring 2016 enrollee. Two more Trojan newcomers also have strong ties overseas. A 2012 Olympian for Great Britain, Temi Fagbenle was raised in London and her family now lives in Nigeria. She joins the Trojan Family with one year of eligibility left after finishing her degree at Harvard. True freshman MargueriteEffa, meanwhile, also has roots in Africa, having lived in Cameroon before moving to California, where she attended high school.
STICKING STATESIDEUSC’s two homegrown newcomers are true freshman Aliyah Mazyck – from Charlotte, N.C. – and Connecticut transfer Sadie Edwards, who joined the Women of Troy in January 2015 and became eligible for competition on Dec. 17.
COMMITTED!The USC women’s basketball program has added of a solid set of new Trojans set to come to campus in 2016. With NLIs signed and delivered on Nov. 11, Cynthia Cooper-Dyke and her staff are proud to announce the addition of Valerie Higgins, Asiah Jones, Minyon Moore and Ja’Tavia Tapley. The Trojans had posted a 7-11 record in Pac-12 play and were the No. 8 seeded team in the 2015 Pac-12 Tournament. USC would fall in the first round of the tourney, ending a tough season for the Trojans, who had entered the tournament as the defending champions. Seniors Alexyz Vaioletama and Kaneisha Horn wrapped up their Trojan careers with All-Pac-12 honors. Vaioletama landed a spot on the All-Pac-12 Team for the first time in her USC career, and Horn earned All-Pac-12 Defensive Honorable Mention. Basketball Hall of Famer Cynthia Cooper, who as a player helped lead USC to a pair of NCAA championships before winning an Olympic gold medal and four WNBA titles and then as a head coach resurrected three collegiate programs, was named head coach of the USC women’s basketball program, Trojan athletic director Pat Haden announced on April 11, 2013. Cooper now enters her third season as head coach at USC, holding a 37-28 record with the Women of Troy after two seasons of work. The impact she made in her return to Troy was immediate. In her first season, the Trojans got out to a 3-0 start for the first time since 1998. Soon after, USC posted its first win over a ranked opponent since 2011. And the historic efforts just kept coming for Cooper and her Women of Troy. The No. 5 seed in the 2014 Pac-12 Tournament, USC turned heads by not just becoming the first team to play four straight games in the tourney, the Trojans finished it out with four straight victories. Along the way, USC upset perennial champion Stanford in the semifinals before claiming its first-ever Pac-12 Tournament Championship with a win over Oregon State in the final. That effort secured a spot in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2006. USC would ship off to Tennessee as a No. 9 seed, falling in the last seconds of the First Round to finish out a 22-13 overall record on the year. It was a powerful turnaround for the Trojan program, which went 11-20 overall and 7-11 in Pac-12 play the previous season. Cooper, 51, has 10-year collegiate head coaching record of 187-134 (.583), with eight post-season appearances and three league Coach of the Year honors. The run to the 2014 NCAA Tournament with the Trojans was Cooper’s fourth visit as a head coach. Cooper was the head coach at Texas Southern in 2013 and guided the Lady Tigers--who were 5-26 the previous year--to their first-ever Southwestern Athletic Conference regular season championship with a 16-2 league mark (14 more league wins than in 2012). TSU advanced to the SWAC Tournament’s semifinals (as the tourney’s No. 1 seed, a first in program history) and earned its first-ever WNIT berth. At 20-12 overall, the Lady Tigers set school records for season victories (20) and consecutive wins (15). She spent the previous two seasons (2011-12) as the head coach at UNC Wilmington. Inheriting a Seahawks team that was 12-19 the prior season (and just 6-12 in league play), her debut 2011 squad notched a school record for victories with a 24-9 overall mark (14-4 for second place in the Colonial Athletic Association), won 11 consecutive home games, got to the semifinals of the CAA Tournament and advanced to the second round of the WNIT in the school’s first-ever post-season appearance. She was the 2011 CAA Coach of the Year. Then in 2012, UNCW posted its second consecutive 20-win season (20-13) for the first time in school history, made it to the CAA tourney semis again after going 11-7 in the league and was a WNIT participant. Cooper began her college coaching career at Prairie View A&M, a program that had never had a winning season. She posted an 86-72 record with four post-season appearances during her five-year (2006-10) tenure there. After going 7-21 overall (6-12 in the SWAC) in 2006, she guided her second team in 2007 to the program’s first winning campaign (19-14), its first SWAC regular season title (at 14-4), its first SWAC Tournament crown and its first NCAA Tournament berth, as she was named SWAC Coach of the Year. The Lady Panthers repeated as SWAC regular season champs in 2008 with a 15-3 league mark and finished at 22-12 with a trip to the WNIT. Prairie View won its third consecutive SWAC regular season title in 2009

...CooPER CoNTiNUED(going 17-1), and also won the SWAC tourney title and played in the NCAA Tournament as she again was the SWAC Coach of the Year while her team had a 23-11 record. The Lady Panthers were 15-14 in 2010 (12-6 in for second in league play) and were a WNIT participant. Cooper was able to have success at Prairie View, a historically black college that faces financial and recruiting hurdles, despite having to endure NCAA sanctions her last two years that included scholarship reductions and probation. The program was penalized for violations that occurred during Cooper’s first season, but the NCAA said those violations were the result of the school’s failure to educate her about NCAA rules. One of the world’s greatest and most decorated women’s basketball players, Cooper was the 1981 L.A. City Player of the Year at Locke High in Los Angeles while averaging 31 points a game and leading her team to the California State 4A championship. She also was on Locke’s track team. She then starred as a 5-10 guard for USC’s 1983 and 1984 NCAA Championship teams. A four-time letterwinner (1982-84, 86), as a senior in 1986 she was named an All-Conference first teamer and made the NCAA All-Tournament team as the Women of Troy made it to the NCAA Final. She averaged 12.9 points, 3.1 assists and 2.1 steals during her career as USC won 114 of 129 games. She currently ranks ninth on USC’s all-time scoring list (1,559 points), eighth in assists (381) and third in steals (256). Cooper began her pro career in Europe for Spain’s Samoa Betera (1986-87) and Italy’s Parma (1987-94) and Alcamo (1994-96) teams. She led the league in scoring once (36.7 average) with Samoa Betera and eight times in Italy. She was the MVP of the European All-Star team in 1987 and was named to the All-Star team of the Italian leagues in 1996 and 1997. During that time, Cooper collected five medals while representing the United States in international play. She won a gold medal at the 1987 Pan American Games, a gold at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, golds at the 1986 and 1990 FIBA World Championships and a bronze at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. She returned to the USA in 1997 at the age of 34 to play with the Houston Comets of the newly-formed WNBA. She led the Comets to a record four consecutive WNBA championships (1997-2000), being named WNBA Finals MVP each time. She was the league’s MVP in 1997 and 1998 and was a two-time WNBA All-Star (1999-2000) before retiring in 2000. She led the league in scoring three consecutive years and became the first WNBA player to hit the 500-, 1,000-, 2,000- and 2,500-point career scoring plateaus. She moved into the coaching ranks in 2001 as the head coach of the Phoenix Mercury and spent that season and the first half of the 2002 season there, going 19-23 overall, before returning to the Comets’ 2003 playing roster until an early injury curtailed her season and led to her retirement. She earned her third WNBA All-Star honor in 2003 and, at 40, was the oldest player to play in a WNBA game at that time. She finished as Houston’s all-time leader in scoring (2,601 points), free throw percentage (.871) and assists (602). She averaged 21.2 points per game in her career. Cooper was inducted into the USC Athletic Hall of Fame in 1999, the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2009 and the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010 (the first WNBA player enshrined). She was the Women’s Sports Foundation’s 1998 Sportswoman of the Year. In 2011, she was voted by fans as one of the Top 15 players in WNBA history. Cooper was born on April 14, 1963, in Chicago, Ill., but grew up in Los Angeles as one of eight children. She speaks Italian fluently. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Prairie View A&M. She and her husband, Brian Dyke, who is a sports agent, have 11-year-old twins, son, Brian Jr., and daughter, Cyan.

After three consecutive years drawing near-record crowds, the 15th annual Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Tournament remains in Seattle in partnership with Force 10 Sports Marketing, LLC, the Seattle Sports Commission and Seattle Center. The tournament will be held at KeyArena from March 3-6, 2016 and will receive unprecedented national television coverage once again with each game of the tournament sched-uled to be televised either on the Pac-12 Networks or ESPN. The City of Seattle has embraced women’s basketball and women’s athletics. The WNBA’s Se-attle Storm loyal fan base has increased over the last several years. The majestic city provides convenient travel for teams and fans, with non-stop flights avail-able from every Pac-12 city. In the three years the Pac-12 Tournament has been in the Emerald City, the four-day event has seen its biggest successes, recording three of the top four attendances in the 14-year history. The 2015 cham-pionship game was the second-most attended in the history of the event. The Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Tournament made its debut in 2002 and was held on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, Ore. The Conference’s premier women’s sporting event then moved to HP Pavilion at San Jose for a six-year run (2003-08). It spent four years (2008-2012) in Los Angeles, with Galen Center playing host. The final two-year run of the event saw it combined with the men’s tournament and the semifinal and championship games were played at the STAPLES Center. The winner of the 12-team tournament receives the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship. The tournament seeding and Conference Champion are determined by the 18-game regular-season Pac-12 schedule.
