Welcome to USC Traditional Chinese Dance’s 8th annual showcase!

We are thrilled to have you here to share this memorable night with us. Our

dancers have been working diligently since the beginning of the school yearand we are excited to showcase the results of many months of hard work and

dedication. TCD has become a big part of all of our lives and tonight our dancers

reflect on what TCD means to them. We hope you enjoy reading their responses.

The theme of our show this year focuses on our world: our world as students,

dancers, team members and young Asian Americans. These are the things that

shape us and help forge our identity. As young Asian Americans, we embrace

both our rich Asian heritage and our progressive American ideologies. As

members of TCD, we have had the wonderful opportunity to explore the essence

of Chinese culture through different traditional Chinese dance styles. In addition

to sharing a love for dance, our passion fuels the mission of TCD-- to spread

awareness of Chinese culture and tradition through dance.

Tonight, we welcome you to join us on this journey to discover the beauty of

Chinese culture, and we welcome you to be… Part of Our World.

Thank you so much for your support and we hope you enjoy the show!
