2011 qualifi er Ellen Port who went on to claim the 2011 US Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship.Port is a fi ve-time USGA champion, winning the US Women’s Mid-Amateur in 1995, 1996, 2000 and 2011. She won the 2012 USGA Senior Women’s Amateur, as well. In February of 2013, the USGAannounced that Port had been selected as Captain of the 2014 Curtis Cup team.
