China National Plan

11th Five-Year Plan, 2006-2010Cut its per unit of GDP energy consumption by

20% from 2005 levels by the end of 2010 Reduce major pollutants emission by 10% from

2005 levels, including COD and SO2.

12th Five-Year Plan, 2011-2015Reduce the intensity of carbon dioxide emissions

per unit of GDP in 2020 by the 40 to 45 percent from 2005 levels.
