XIP-Driver Setup
Setup the CNC Parameters with PC Standard MMI (Apex).
The XIP driver uses the following NC parameters:P100 – N1 - XIP Xway address = 3F (Hex)P124 – CNC TCP/IP Address = 192.168.0.254P125 – CNC Subnet Mask = 255.255.255.0
P100 N1 corresponds to the Station Address in Step 3 below. Range is 0 to 3F Hex (0to 63 decimal)
Setting of the PC Network Adaptor:IP address = 192.168.0.150Subnet Mask = 255.255.255.0
Remark: The above values for parameters and Network settings are example values only.
1. Power up CNC – Connect PC to CNC TCP/IP adaptor with a Cross (X) network cable.
2. Set-up the Network Adaptor Settings(Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Centre > Change AdaptorSettings)In the below example IP Version 4 is modified.
At this point it is possible to ping the CNC from the PC – i.e. ping 192.168.0.254 andcheck response.

(CNC Parameter 100 value - Range is 0 to 3FThis equal 0 to 63 decimal)
4. Ensure XIP is selected in Type of Communication box.
5. Enter Station Value in NUM Tool Box and NUMpass CNC configuration Box (ifNumpass is loaded). This value equals CNC parameter P100 – N1 . (Set to 3F Hex in this example)
