Thursday, September 13Scranton vs. King’s (Pa.) 7 p.m.

1 Elizabethtown is just 1-8 against Ursinus, a series that stretches all the way back to 1978. The Bears have won three straight over the Blue Jays. Ursinus won 2-0 last season in Collegeville, Pa. when the Bears were ranked 11th in NCAA Division III.

2 Margo Donlin is second in the Landmark Conference in Goals Against Average at 0.70. Her GAA puts her 24th in all of NCAA DIII. Her save percentage is second in the conference and tied for 48th across Division III.

She was named the Landmark Defensive Athlete of the Week on September 4 after posting back-to-back shutouts, 4th and 5th of her career, at Frostburg State and against Dickinson. Donlin received the conference weekly award for the second time in her career.

3 Ursinus started off with two tough tests on the road, at Rowan and at #2 Messiah. Goalie Jules Singer held the Falcons to just one goal in 70 minutes on September 5 in a 1-0 loss, but came back to make four saves and shut out William Smith on Saturday, September 7. Four different players, Gabriela Howell, Erin Saybolt, Jamie Mayer, and Devon Carroll, scored for Ursinus to help the Bears to their first win of the season, 4-0.

4 The Blue Jays won a shootout last Friday at Muhlenberg. Grace Hardy, Olivia Beachley, Maggie Fees, and Lauren Scheib all scored on their shootout attempts. Tied 4-4 after the first round of shooters, a sixth round was needed. Muhlenberg went first and Donlin made the save to give E-town a chance to win it by converting theirs. Beachley, who scored her second goal of the season during regulation, was able to convert her second shootout attempt and go 2-for-2 to help lift Elizabethtown to a 2-1 win and 5-4 in the shootout.

5 The Jays start a four-game home stand with today’s game. They host Washington & Lee on 9/15 at 1 p.m.
