URBAN SNOODThe snood is knitted in one piece. Once it is
completed you will join the two ends together.
START KNITTING 1. Cast on 50 stitches onto one of the wooden
needles.
2. Knit 44 rows in Garter stitch and Cable stitch. Learn how to
knit with these rows:
Rows 1, 3 and 5: knit all the stitches.
Rows 2, 4 and 6: knit 2 stitches, purl 6 stitches, knit 4
stitches, purl 6 stitches, knit 4 stitches, purl 6 stitches, knit 4
stitches, purl 6 stitches, knit 4 stitches, purl 6 stitches and
knit the last 2 stitches.
Note: we recommend you to use marks everytime you change the
stitch. This way you will know when to knit and when to purl.
Row 7:
a) knit the first 2 stitches in Garter Stitch.
b) now you will start the first figure: remove the next 3
stitches from the knitting needle. Help yourself with a pen or a
pencil to keep them apart, in front of the wooden needles.
c) knit the next 3 stitches you have on the knitting needle.
d) place the 3 stitches you were keeping apart with the help of
a pencil back on the knitting needle and knit them.
e) Knit the next 4 stitches. Repeat steps b, c, d & e until
you finish the row knitting 2 stitches.
3. Repeat rows 1 to 7 until you have knitted 44 rows in
total.
4. Cast off all stitches.
HOW TO END YOUR PROJECTOnce you are done knitting your snood,
you will have a similar piece like the one shown in the reverse of
this pattern.Help yourself with the little knitter ́s sewing needle
and a same-colored wool thread.
Sew it in zigzag, picking up a stitch of each side of the
scarf.
In order to weave in the ends, tie a knot and hide the remaining
threads among the already knitted stitches.
WAK WOOLThe WE ARE KNITTERS’ wool is 100% natural. Its softness
is due to its origin: the Peruvian Andes. Over there, sheep live in
optimal conditions, allowing the production
of top quality wool. Because of this, you will end up wearing a
luxurious and long-lasting garment. If you take care of it, you
will probably be able to wear it your whole life.
