Searcy High School Band Members Tori Rettig and TylerRoberson were named to the Region IV All-Region Jazz Band on November 10. They participated in the region jazz clinic on November 13-14 at Marion High School.
McRae Elementary School held family science nights and The Museum ofDiscovery providedscience experiments for family members of allages. First grade student Gabriel Fatula and hisfamily were the winners of the family membership to the Museum of Discovery,and Gabriel spent his day off on November 6thexperimenting at themuseum. Gabriel is theson of Aleks and AprilFatula and is a student in Mrs. Jessica West’s class.

Congratulations to Sidney Deener Elementary School second grade student Ashley Vazquez who has been named the December Artist of the Month. Ashley is a student in Mrs. Marian Colburn’s art class and Mrs. Lauren Wood’s homeroom.
Congratulations to Searcy High School senior baseball player AustinAllen for signing with the Harding University Bison baseball team. Allen is the son of Jodi and Ben Graul and Marshall Allen. Pictured is Allen sign-ing the papers with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Graul and his coaches Justin Ferrell, Matt Davis, and Miles Watson.
Searcy High School senior art student Raeanne Kiihnl won Best of Show in the Creative Arts Society art show. Kiihnl plans to attend Harding University and major in art. Raeanne is a student in Mr. Terry Hester’s art class at Searcy High School.

Searcy Special Olympics bowling team competed on November 10th in Searcy. Searcy High School FTA (Future Teach-ers of America) student visits with his Westside Litlle PAW (Positive Action With Students) Brayden Sanders at their monthly meeting. The PAWS program is a newly implemented program that involves high school students mentoring Westside Elementary School students.
