Log in to Morgan Stanley Online at morganstanley.com/online.

Go to Your Profile & Settings and click “View” next to Account Nicknames.

Obtain your new 9-digit Morgan Stanley Online account numbers from the “Account Number” column.Note: You may want to use this opportunity to provide nicknames for your accounts.
STEP 4Deactivate your existing SmithBarney.com accountsNote: Only complete this step for accounts that have transitioned from SmithBarney.com to Morgan Stanley Online.
You will need to repeat these tasks for each account held at Morgan Stanley.
STEP 4 (CONT)Deactivate your existing SmithBarney.com accounts
Click “Yes” to deactivate and then “OK” to confirm.
Back on the Account Details screen, click the “General” tab, delete text in the “Financial Institution” and “Account Number” fields, then click “OK.”

REMINDERRepeat the tasks in Step 4 for each account held at Morgan Stanley.
On the Account Details screen, click the “Online Services” tab, then click “Set Up Now…” under “Online Setup.” Note: Earlier versions of Quicken may say “Activate One Step Update” instead of “Set Up Now...”

On the first Add Brokerage Account screen, choose “Morgan Stanley Wealth Management” from the list of financial institutions, then click “Next.”
You will need to repeat these tasks for each account held at Morgan Stanley.

ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT INFORMATION
If you did not download your data from SmithBarney.com during the six months prior to conversion, Quicken will automatically download 18 months of data. You will need to manually delete any duplicate transactions.
Your account data will download to Quicken from the calendar day following your last down-load date. If any transactions occurred after your download, but prior to the next calendar day, you will need to enter these manually.
Your first download after updating your information may indicate a download date of January 1, 1970. This will automatically update to the current date at your next download.
On the next Add Brokerage Account screen, enter your Morgan Stanley Online user name and password as well as your new Morgan Stanley account number. Click “Connect.” After clicking “Connect”, you will be prompted to download data. It is imperative that you review the next step before you complete your first download from Morgan Stanley Online.
Remember: When entering the Morgan Stanley account number, only the first nine digits should be used, without spaces or dashes.

Upon downloading data for the first time from Morgan Stanley Online, you will be prompted to add positions that already exist in Quicken to your holdings. Review the data and then click “Edit / Delete” to remove positions that already exist in Quicken. Do not accept these duplicate positions or the cost basis and dates of the original positions will be removed.
Click on the Edit button shown above on right hand side and then select Delete (green arrow).
