• In adequate preparation regards to rescue efforts

• No efforts to establish population figures• Improper arrangements for assessment and

relief activities • Lack of coordination regards to relief and

recovery• No regular updates from the agencies

Way forward• Comprehensive preparedness at district level including

trainings for rescue, first aid and Ambulance services.• Technical and logistic support for rescue at district level • Prepositioning of supplies at provincial and district levels• Emergency preparedness of health facilities at district and

provincial level• Established population figures at district level by villages

based on an accepted source• Village level mechanism to report the emergencies and losses• Effective district and provincial coordination mechanism• All agencies should participate in the coordination meetings

and report their activities for better response and avoid duplications
