• This year, the retailer is offering tech gifts such as the iPhone 6s and Apple Watch, while last year’s gift promotions were more traditional and included special edition chocolates, wine, flowers and discounted women’s fragrances.

• Valentine’s Day is February 14 and JCPenney is promoting its jewelry sale this week, just as it did this week last year. This year, the retailer is offering 40%–60% off fine jewelry versus 45%–65% off last year.
• This year, the retailer is also offering an extra 25% off select apparel, shoes, accessories, fine jewelry and home when customers use their JCPenney card or an extra 20% off with any form of payment.
VALENTINE’S DAY
• This week’s Kmart Valentine’s Day sale focuses on beauty products, special edition candies and sleepwear. Last week, the retailer also featured fine jewelry, which was discounted up to 75%.
• This week’s discounts are fairly similar to last year’s: 50% off plush, 40% off women’s sleepwear and $3.99 branded chocolate hearts.
