Did you know some pumpkins can be white, red or blue, the biggest pumpkin weighed over 1,000 pounds and pumpkins can float? We read many fiction and non-fiction books about pumpkins. We learned all about the life cycle of a pumpkin from reading From Seed to Pumpkin and noticed how similar it was to an apple’s life. We completed a Venn Diagram to compare apples and pumpkins. We predicted what plants need to grow and planted pumpkin seeds from our class pumpkin to see which prediction will be correct.
