“Come, follow me.” One of the shortest phrases in the Bible is also the most challeng-ing and life transforming. These three words are not only an invitation, but a declaration of our purpose in life. This is the call of Jesus to you, the call to be His disciple.
What is a disciple? A disciple, simply put, is a follower. When you follow someone, your life begins to take on the shape and look of their life. When Christ calls us to follow Him, He is calling us to become who He redeemed us to be – His own, His disciple. Just as He did with the first disciples, Jesus takes the initiative and calls us out of our version of life and into His Life.
Jesus Christ is calling us to live life as a disciple. How do we do this? By growing and following Jesus together, learning how to love God, love
others, and how to make disciples. Through worship, sharing life together, and serving our community we are shaped and molded into the likeness of Jesus. As a community of faith at Grace, we are intentional about answering the call of Christ: “Come, follow me.”
Life as a disciple is a life-long process, because the One whom we follow, Christ, is our Life – now and forever. Throughout our journey as disciples of Jesus Christ at Grace, there are opportunities to worship, grow, and serve. The following pages detail some of the opportuni-ties here at Grace through which Christ can shape you into the disciple He has created you to be.
Join us in the journey of growing and following Jesus. Join us in life as a disciple.
Life As A Disciple
What is a Discipleship Huddle? A group of four to twelve current or future outwardly-bound disciples who gather to be encouraged and held accountable. A huddle differs from a small group in that the leader acts as the primary discipler of the members of the group and not as a facilita-tor. Huddles generally meet at least every other week, though some have huddles every week. Each Huddle meeting eventually leads to the two fundamental questions of Christian spirituality we see at the conclusion of the Sermon on the Mount:
1) What is God saying to me? (Build your house on the rock - Jesus’ words)
2) How will I respond? (The fool is the one who doesn’t put Jesus’ words into practice.)

Rhythm is important. It keeps us on track. It keeps us moving forward in a meaningful way. Healthy and balanced lives require good balance and rhythm; daily, weekly, monthly and seasonally. Our goal is to intention-ally attend to our relationship with God, our relationships with each other, and our relationships with the community around us, experiencing the meaningful impact each of these relationships has on our life as a disciple.
As we engage our connections here at Grace, we continue to gain clarity about the shape of our time together and how we live UP, IN, and OUT. Everyone is invited, but please call the church office to RSVP.

(FFG) - Small GroupsHere at Grace, we hold community and connections as one of our core values. God has designed us to enjoy and live life in connection with others. In a world that pushes us toward isolation, we realize one of our greatest needs is connection. We need a place where we can know and be known, love and be loved, and serve and be served. We believe one of Grace’s greatest strengths is in connecting, not just at our weekend services, but throughout the week. A major way this happens at Grace is through Faith and Fellowship Groups. So, what are Faith and Fellowship Groups? They are a great place for people to find authentic, life-shar-ing, learning connection. People in groups of 8-12 gather in homes throughout our communities to learn from the Bible and connect with one another. We see our Faith and Fellowship groups as a place where people can grow in their relationship with Christ, share life together, and impact the community in which they live. We are always looking for new people to host an FFG.

Every one of us has a story – our life. Whether young or old, raised in the church or new to the faith, our stories
reveal how each of us came to be who we are
today. But our stories are not our own; they are
part of a larger story – God’s story. His story is
one of destruction and renewal, one of gut-
wrenching sorrow and overflowing joy, one of
death-like defeat and life-giving victory. So if
our story is wrapped up in God’s, then knowing
His story will guide us to better understand our
own.
This fall Grace will embark on a unique, com-
pelling, 31-week journey through God’s story.
This venture will be present in many areas
of ministry – from JAM and Youth to Sunday
morning worship and various adult ministries.
Individuals and families alike are encouraged
to join the community of Grace as we journey
through The Story. Using clear, accessible texts
of the NIV, this rendering of the Bible allows
its stories, poems, and teachings to be woven
together into a single, seamless, compelling
read. With a novel-like feel, The Story provides
a pathway for us to discover our own story and
who we are in the great epic of God’s story. The
Story.
Books for The Story are available through the Grace Church Office, call or email Pastor Kuehn, to order.

Men’s BreakfastMen’s breakfast is a time for men to gather together to connect, share a meal, and open up the Word of God together. We believe that as the men go, so goes the church. And if men are motivated by the gospel and passionate about Jesus and his work in this world, then that will flow into their families, our church, and our city. The purpose of our Men’s Breakfast is to pour into our men and encourage their involvement and leadership with the rest of the church, and to provide an easy on-ramp for men to begin to get connected here at Grace.
