    Summary of changes

Changes between document issues are cumulative. Therefore, the latest

document issue contains all changes made to previous issues.

    Changes in issue 1-0 (DN70400137)

Instructions on lifting and moving cabinets were clarified. The cabinets are

heavy. Additional personnel or lifting equipment may be needed when

moving, unpacking or lining up the cabinets. Cabinets must not be lifted

from the subrack edges. It is also not permitted to step on or push the

subrack edges down, because they will bend.

    Document structure has been reorganised.

The DN number identification for this document has changed from

DN0186515 to DN70400137, and therefore issue numbering starts over

    from issue 1-0.

    Changes in issue 3-0 (DN0186515)

The dimensions and weights of the packages for the new cabinets EC216

and EC213 have been added, and the figures have been updated to

correspond with the new cabinets' packages.

    Changes in issue 2-0 (DN0186515)

Dimensions and weights of the packages for deliveries containing cabling

    cabinets have been added.

    Changes in issue 1-1 (DN0186515)

Corrections in graphics; no content update.

1 Before starting to unpackBefore starting to unpack the cabinets from their transportation packages:

. Make sure that the unpacking area is empty.

. Fetch all utensils needed for unpacking from storage (knife or side

    cutters)

1.1 Dimensions and weights of the packages

The IPA2800 cabinets are delivered in cardboard packages with a wooden

support platform. For the EC cabinets, there are two types of packages:

one suitable for an equipment cabinet (EC216) and one suitable for anequipment cabinet with a cabling cabinet (EC216 + EC213). For the IC

cabinets, there are three types of packages: one suitable for an equipment

cabinet (IC186-B), one suitable for a cabling cabinet (IC183-B), and one

suitable for an equipment cabinet with a cabling cabinet (IC186-B + IC183-

    B).

The weights of the cabinet packages vary depending on the intracabinet

    cables installed.

    1.2 Conversion factors

The following conversion factors should be used when installing Nokia's

    IPA2800 and associated equipment:

    Table 2. Conversion factors.

    Metric American

    1 kilogram (kg) = 2.2046 lb

    1 meter (m) = 3.2808 ft

    2.54 centimeters (cm) = 1 in

The following table can be used for converting decimals to fractions, where

the first column gives the number of inches in decimals and the second

column contains the corresponding number of inches in fractional form.

The third column gives the number of feet in decimals, and the fourth

column gives the corresponding number of inches in fractional form.

    Note

For the purposes of installation and construction, an allowance of 1/

16th of an inch is tolerated between the physical conditions found on

any particular site and the Blueprint drawings provided with the

installation instructions. In addition, an allowance of 1/16th of an inch

will be permitted when converting directly from European measurement

to the American standard feet and inches.
